Hi All.  I'm 9 days out (WOW that went fast) and finally getting back in the swing of things.  Thanks to everyone for their care and concern and to Nicole for diligently checking on me after surgery .  I'm doing well with protein, however, wondering if anyone else experienced "mild cramping" when sipping water??  All other fluids go down fine.

Where is the cramping?

Around your stomach?

Glad to hear it all went well and you're feeling good. When I was first out from surgery I couldn't tolerate ice water - it really bothered my pouch, so I switched to room temp water for a while - didn't taste as good but it didn't hurt, either.

Take care - Kathy

I feel it when the water "hits" around my belly button...if that's any help.

Good suggestion from Kathy.

Try room temp water.

Or maybe even warm tea (decaf)...

Glad you are doing well!!!

I've actually read posts by many people who  can't tolerate "plain" water after surgery for a while, but do okay if they have some crystal light or something.

Doesn't seem to make a lot of sense, but whatever works!!!!!

I'd try more room temp water with crystal light :)
