So sorry to hear about your husband's job. I was in the same boat around Christmas time. I was extremely lucky because my previous employer gave me 60 days of notice so I started pounding the pavement and shamelessly networking weather it was on line (face book, career builder, etc) of making a few phone calls. I was able to land a job 3 days before Christmas at about the same pay rate but I know I was very very lucky. Please know that your husband and your family is in my prayers today.

For most of those yrs he was a laborer... more recently he was moved to management, and thus had no seniority among mgmt. Now he regrets trying to better himself and applying for that mgmt position... go figure.
I'm so glad he could at least collect for a while...

You have my sympathy George was let go on friday and so luckily for us he knows alot of people and started a new job monday so I wish the best for you and hubby. What line of work is he in and where do you live. You never know who George knows not to be funny. Just trying to be helpful. They say when one door closes another one opens.
