surgery cancelled..... nurse never told surgeon that I'm on prednisone taper

So, so sorry.  I am spending all day today getting mentally prepared for tomorrow.  I am not sure how I would react if they try to send ME home.  Keep the positive thoughts and remember how long you have already been on this path and that a couple more weeks is really no time at all.

Hi Kathleen - sorry to hear that you didn't get your surgery as planned.  Hang in there.  Staying on the liquid diet sounds like a good idea to me.  Don't undo all your hard work.

Hi Everyone!  Thanks so much for reading my "vent" and for all the support :)

I am feeling better about it today, (everything happens for a reason), however I am more angry about that nurse than ever.    Unbelieveable.      I guess I will just deal with it (I'm sure she'll get into plenty of trouble for her huge error (cost of OR, anesthesiology, etc) and I will take the time to get better and finish off the prednisone. I'm still very stuffy, but not infected at this point.
