Sticking to the Basics Rainy Tuesday
Feeling quite naseous this morning so I am taking it easy on food.
B: 1 egg cup (omlet made in a muffin tin) with onions and cheese, 1 slice toast with margarine
S: cheddar cheese (probably some saltines if I am still queasy)
L: "cheese burger soup" something I came up with last night - I'll post the recipe separately
S: ricotta chocolate "mouse"
D: not sure - maybe more soup or trout and a veggie
S: chocolate cake - last 1/2 a slice!
B: Canadian bacon & egg quiche (made in muffin pans like LIz); 1/2 ww eng muffin
S: Banana
L: Turkey & cheese on bakery round; sf pudding
S: Stringcheese
D: Crockpot chicken; veggies
E: Exercise bike
I thought I'd post one of my daily meal plans on here for some of us who are a little further out. I'm about 3.5 years post-op and working very closely with a nutritionist and personal trainer...
B: Whole Wheat english muffin with 2 tbsp of peanut butter
S: Protein shake and half a banana
L: 2 oz. whole wheat pasta, 3 oz. ground chicken and 1/4 cup of marinara and 1/2 cup of grapes (sometimes this is a little too much food so I eat less of the pasta)
S: Power Crunch bar and 1 cup strawberries
D: 4.5 oz of lean ground beef (or lean steak) and 1 cup zucchini
Post work out: Protein shake
Before bed: Protein shake
All in all I'm taking in 1677 calories and a whopping 165 grams of protein and eating every 2-3 hours.
For those of you who know my story.. since I've been working with my nutritionist I've lost 8 lbs and gained 1.5lbs of muscle.
Back on track... and enjoying the ride
B: Ham & Provolone Omelette
L: 3 mozarella string cheese
D: Country Style Pork Rib on the grill
I will probably have some popcorn for a snack later, if not that, maybe a fiber One toaster pastry
When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!
