I think you did great!!!! I think it is a good idea to keep veggies handy to snack on so you are not just "white knuckling" it thru the day! The dressing was probably minimal and as for the BBQ sauce def try one without sugar...my hubby actually makes me a home made sugar free version of BBQ sauce so I can have it on my grilled chicken when we cook out...very tasty!!
I actually only put a tsp of dressing on my salads but I am also the type of person who can but a little salt and pepper on my salad and eat it dry...so I don't know if you could do that.
Also there are great websites for tracking your food intake like --sparkpeople, daily plate, etc that might help you know exactly what you are taking in. Although let me warn you if you use Sparkpeople do not sign up for the email updates or your inbox will be FLOODED every two mins...I had to reun away from sparkpeople and open new acct!!! LOL
