Can you tell me symptoms leading up to it?   How they decided that was what you had?  What the procedure for it is like?  Recovery after the procedure until you could eat "normal"  (our normal) and all the details.

I see the Dr tomorrow and DH Is CONVINCED this is what my problem is.  I would deeply appreciate any input from those who have been through it.

I know there are people here who have had those... maybe they aren't on right now but there has been a few... hang in there... email me what time your doc appointment is and call the cell afterwards to let me know what happened!

Hi there. I had a stricture at one month post op. I just felt like I was stuffed full, and I had a rock in my stomach and filling me up to my chin. I couldn't even think of taking more than about one bite of pudding or whatever. Most people throw up but I didn't. The treatment is an EGD. That is the camera scope they put down through your mouth to check out you stomach. You probably had one before surgery. My doctor put me to sleep, I didn't feel anything. They take a look with the camera and if they need to they stretch out the part that is shrinking. No pain at all for me, although some people say they have a little bit of a sore throat from it. I had no difference in my diet just right back to eating what I was allowed. And the relief was like immediate. All in all it was a piece of cake. Oh and when it started it only took about one or two days and I knew something was wrong. I hope things go smoothly for you. Good luck. Belinda
