I am 15 months out and have not touched a lot of pasta. However with 2 kids and a husband who BTW is primarily a vegetarian they love pasta from time to time. I picked up Whole Wheat Pasta but it taste like crap. Why?? I like everything else whole wheat but just not Pasta so my question is this has anybody got a suggestion on what kind of whole wheat pasta they use that does not taste like saw dust?? I would like my family to enjoy the benefits of eating whole grains. BTW I ended up throwing out all the pasta I made and my husband & kids did not like the whole wheat pasta either. Any suggestions??

I'll second Lisa's recommendation on the Dream Fields pasta - black box - they don't have a lot of varieties but should cover what you need, and no one will know its lo-carb if you don't tell them because it cooks up like regular stuff. The only place I've been able to find it is Safeway or Guenardi's - not sure who else might carry it.

Whole wheat pasta is nasty!!

I've seen Dream Fields at Giant, if that helps.

Dreamfield is a dream! I used to eat it on my diabetic diet. It's got 5 grams of fiber/serving and doesn't spike blood sugar because it digests slowly

Hi sweetie I am with Susan she turned me onto Dreamfields pasta and its really yummo to quote Rachael Ray I buy it at Giant and there is a sauce called Simply.  I didn't like the Barillos tasted like paste. Every time I have a food question I touch base with Susan and she has always been on the money or should I say food?!

the only thing I will not buy whole wheat is pasta... I'm sorry it is crap... I have tried every brand... and no one has ever liked it... if a 1 year old won't eat whole wheat mac and cheese... you know it is bad... the only way I have gotten around it is mixing it 50/50 with white pasta...

but I also can't cook it al dente... I have to cook it a bit more or it feel like a 10 ton brick in my stomach... but for the few times we eat it... I just use normal pasta... but also when I fix it I cook it in broth... so try cooking the pasta in veggie broth to add some extra flavor or toss in some whole pieces of garlic and onion into the cooking water...

But... what I have really liked is buckwheat pasta... it is japanese... omg sooo good!
