insurance question

well i havent applied for approval yet. my dr told me the surgeon deals with that...i have access (medical assistance) i was wondering if anyone has ever gotten denied with them? im just very nervous to have to go through all of this then to get denied i think i will go crazy if i get denied lol

I don't know anything about Access but I do know I was the one who had to contact the insurance company initially and get the ball rolling - the surgeons office did help once things got moving but you should probably make the initial contact to find out if the surgery is going to be covered and what you may have to do in order to have it covered. For my insurance company I had to either provide a 6 month supervised diet plan that I had been following (with a doctor) or go on a 3 month diet and exercise regime that was doctor supervised, involved a personal trainer and a nutritionist. So you may want to contact Access to see about those types of things.

I believe that you are going to have to go to a Center of Excellance to be covered, but not sure, on the first post of this forum under message board it has a list of places.

well the place im goin is a center of excellence..i called to check it out when i first started it said if medically ness. and it is so hopefully ill be good
