Okay me... hmmmmm
Wow Today is my 2 year surgiversary and I didn't even realize it until JUST now! So dang busy at work.
Okay so anyway. Name is Laura. I will be 30 on Monday. I had my surgery with Dr. Boe 2 years ago today. I was 250 at my highest and at surgery. I got down to 143 at my lowest. on 1 Jun at my 1st Prenatal appointment I was up to 158.5, but on June 29th I was back down to 150. So who the heck knows whats going on! LOL
I am divorced and not really single. As you can see by my ticker I am just over 10 weeks pregnant.Herre is a copy paste of my pregnancy story:
this is my third pregnancy. The first two ended in miscarriages. Last September I had a pap smear done and it came back grossly abnormal. The doctors did a colposcopy and that came back perfectly normal. So they decided to do a LEEP. The results were not good so they did a cone biopsy. As a result of the cone biopsy I have been diagnosed with Cervical Cancer. I was set to have an appointment with a surgical gynecological oncologist on June 1st. The Wednesday before I found out I was pregnant. MY appointment with the onco was to discuss my hysterectomy. Instead it turned into discussing my options to try and carry or if I wanted to take a different path.
I decided since this was my last chance to have my own children I would try to carry. It has already been decided that I will not be allowed to carry to term. They are going to have me start taking steroids at week 24 and they are going to do a c-section and the hysterectomy somewhere around 30 weeks. I have high risk appointment on July 28th and will probably be put on bedrest at that point.
So I am doing anything and everything they tell me because I don't want to screw this one up. The father is not in the picture. I did rekindle an old high school flame though. He knows I am pregnant and is probably my biggest supporter out there behind my family.
I threw up anything and everything I was eating or drinking for more than a week. My due date is February 3rd, but C-section will probably happen in the beginning of December.
I am already beginning to show too!
So that's me in a nutshell. I guess I could probably type tons more like how 3 days after my surgery on my 28th birthday I was out line dancing, but who wants to hear about that stuff!!! LOL
My name is Laura --I will 35 in five days and I had WLS with Dr.Pupkova at Barix on May 27th of last year. I am done over 125 poinds frommy highest weight of 300. I feel incredible!!!!!!! It was the biggest and best decision of my life and am so happy to have done it!!
I am a teacher and am currently enjoying my summer off. I have been married for two years and am a step mom to his two girls. He has been a great supporter of mine in this journey.
I love having the ability to live my life with out the fear and face all these changes in my life and be healthy and happy each day!
This board is my lifeline and I would be lost without the support and help from all these wonderful people I am proud to call friends!!
Good luck and continued successes to everyone!!!!!

Over 176+ lbs lost since surgery!! :-)
See my profile for my OH Blog!!
My highest weight was 294 and today I am at 173 and loven it. Down from size 22 and 3X to 12 petite. I still have a daily fight with the scale but I will make that darn thing move as my goal is to get down to 150 or better. I can't thank the folks at the Weight Loss Clinic in Harrisburg enough for the help and caring , they are a great group of people! Dr. Currie is a great guy I think he is the best.
I am married 34 years with one son. He is 32 and single. (hope he soon finds someone as I would like to have grandchildren!) We have 2 four legged babies Gus and Woodrow (they run the household). My yellow labs hubby has them on a diet. They are big boys at 125 and 127 each.
Hubby is retired and I work for a major corporation in Harrisburg as an engineer. My day begins at 3AM to get in the office by 5AM so by 8 in the evening I am ready to crash. I try to check the board out in the evening when I get home as you folks are my inspiration and my on-line family. I love you all. If you need encouragement or info or a kick in the back side they are here to do all that and give you a hug at the same time.
Thank you all!
Hugs,
Kate
