a question for mommies- breast feeding...
Ok, before you even tell me to do this... I'm not going to post this on the pregnancy after WLS board because well there are nut jobs over there and I don't need any more crazies in my life lol...
Ok, Jeremy was laughing at me because of the freebie I got at the OB office today after my 32 week visit... It was a breastfeeding kit/intro formula just incase... let me explain why my hubby was all kinds of ****s and giggles in the car on the way home...
It had a book- a guide for the first 2 months breast feeding... it had pictures... and Jeremy was a mess... you see they always show these tiny little things with bumps for boobs... I'm sorry I have real boobs... with Lore they were DDD... well with this baby... I have hit the H cup people... H... holy freaking cow... well... when we tried with Lore she nearly died lol... she was horrible about latching on... but when she would try my stupid boobs would cover her little nose and well she would inhale boobage... I only have 2 hands... and well you need 4 sets of hands to control my stupid boobs...
Now I know a lot of you had children when you larger... if you breast feed how did you do it lol... because I really don't wanna hook up to my moo cow pumping machine to get some breast milk for this one... so any advice besides duct tape lol because really how does one do it with huge boobs... because you should of heard what Jeremy was saying... it was really funny but so freaking wrong lol... I wish I would of wrote down what he said because omg it was so funny... so pass on the ideas lol... because I gave up after 4 months of pumping... and I really don't wanna sufficate this one lol...
yeah the LLL was completely useless to me with Lore... I swear they all had size A boobies lol... not real ones lol... but really they were no hope... the leader asked around and the biggest anyone got was like a D cup and her boobs were still perky (evil hag) and well I've never had perky boobs... I went from flat to a C up in a year lol... I was 9 too at the time lol... so saggy big boobs they had no idea what to do... they also didn't have any ideas for getting Lore to latch on either... one told me not to feed her and she would take the boob... I hung up on her... lol...
Oh yeah the OB asked me today when I was going to get a reduction... you know it is bad when he is asking ya lol... I know my asthma doctor would do the dance of joy if I got these suckers cut down some lol...
Bad thing a recliner isnt going to travel with you!! good lluck!! Im kinda glad mine has shrunk to a nice 36 C so far!!!
The biggest thing I can tell you is to A. make up your mind that you really want to BF and B. Relax.
The chances of you suffocating the baby with your boob while breastfeeding is pretty much nil. When they latch on properly there will be a natural nook between your boob and their nose.
Breast is best, I really hope you give it a try

I worked with the BF consultants at Paoli and Reading Hospital and they said there was nothing they could do... there was no natural nook... I remember one of them saying that in the hospital... that is when she gave up and brought in a pump... needless to say I was shocked... but after talking to some really close friends... and watching them BF... my nipples aren't shaped like theirs when they would BF vs when I would try... When I talked to another BF consultant she said that it could because of having PCOS since I was 9 if not before than that causes things like nipples and such not to shape the way nature needs them to for them to "work" right...
We even took pictures and video to later show other BF peeps and LLL peeps (and no i don't have them now it was kind of creepy to me lol) to see if they could help and they were at a loss... each and every time... boobage up the nose... if jeremy was there to help push them back things would work... but other wise it didn't...
I just know I can't be the only one to deal with this... and I know not losing any weight in my boobs after gastric bypass sure hasn't helped... I can't find a 38H bra anywhere to save my life right now lol...
The only thing I know to say is that when my milk came in, my breasts were rock hard for a few days, and I had to express some milk at first so that the kid could latch on. I used a warm washcloth and let out about a cup or so of milk at first. After a few days, things became more flexible and latching on was easier.
By the way, when are you due? My daughter is due on August 4th. It looks like you are due soon.
