EGD scheduled for 9/16 is it as bad as I've heard?
I had it done while hospitalized so the IV was already in. I was freaking out in the holding. The Dr came in and told me to relax he will be sure I don't know a THING. I laid on my side, they put the thing in my mouth, some stuff in the IV and then I was awake asking what they found.
As for the Colonoscopy...exactly the same (except nothing in the mouth LOL). I laid on my side, stuff in my IV, then woke up watching the Dr walk in to talk to me.
You are not out but a few minutes so the sleepiness goes away within an hour. Simple as a dimple!

In 08 I was scoped 4 times. Twice at the Dr`s center, once at Easton Hospital using an ultrasound probe tip and once by Ginsberg at the University of Pennsylvania. I don`t remember anything. Don`t remember a throat spray or mouth piece. Only at U of P did I have just a very slight sore throat for a day. Every time it was a just nice nap. Heck I`d rather do that then go to the dentist for a filling.
