Where were you when you heard about the terror attacks?
I lived in hawaii at the time. My ex hubby was on shore duty and was put on lockdown on base for several days. MY son kameron was only yr old at the time. The sad thing is that was such a sad moment for our nation but it was some of the best times in my first marriage. Kinda bittersweet to me. We were actaully in bed and a friend of our called us and woke us up in just enough time to see the scond plane hit. Our commisaries were closed for 2 days. It was very hard espcially all the military around.
I was out shopping , imagine that and my friend Doris called me & told me & I couldn't believe it, when she called me she thought a plane just happened to crash into the Tower but then when I got home and found out what really happened I was so devastated and felt bad for all the innocent people that had died and I thanked God that my family was safe but Prayed for all the popl that were buried live in the rubble.
I WILL NEVER FORGET THAT DAY

i was taking a food saftey class in downtown Pittsburgh. We did not hear of anything happening until we took our first break at 10am.
After the break we were given the choice of going home or stayin to complete the class and take the test. Traffic was awful at that time and most of us decided to stay.
I had talked to a woman about walking out of town with her, when it came time to leave, her boss came to get her and the other employees. They were nice enough to make room in the car for me.
From there I went straight to mom's My oldest brother came walking in 15 minutes later.
I was so afraid that my son, jeff, would called up to go back into the
Army, he was ready to be discharged.
God Bless America

I was in my fifth grade classroom at Creighton Elementary in Philadelphia. I was going over the morning work with my students when a colleagues burst into my room and blurted out, "They just blew up the World Trade Center and are evacuating the White House." I thought she was joking around, as she and I would do that all the time.
Within the hour, parents were arriving at school to pick up their kids. School let out early, as Mayor Street asked everyone to get home, and not be in schools or office buildings.
My ex called me from I-95 in Maryland, as he had been in D.C. on business, and had seen the Pentagon burning from the office he was in. He could not take the train home because of the attacks. He asked me to call my kids to inform them he was okay, as he had been using a colleagues phone.
While I knew nobody personally, my heart still aches for the families and friends who lost loved ones in the attacks.
Most disturbing now is that my students' first question is, "Could it happen again?" I am forced to tell them, "I hope not," and that the government is doing everything possible to ensure it does not.

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

I was at home watching tv and when the first plane hit I thought OMG and then the second one hit and I ran over to Heather's school and found her in the lunch room and I can remember all I cared about after calling George was going to get Heather and her princliple said to me school isn't over and I replied for her today is and I walked out holding her by the hand and poor Heather had no clue what was going on til I sat her down and told her. It was heart wrenching! All of those innocent people and all because of a maniac and that maniac is still running loose! I don't think any one of us will ever feel safe like we used to again. If it were me I'd have retaliated to their country for taking our loved ones away and peace of mind. I observe by hanging my head and saying a prayer for those gone and hope it will never ever happen again.
