~*Wacky Wednesday Roll Call*~
Good Morning all. (I think)
I had a rough few days. Feeling a little down. And the weather isn't helping! I was bad a skipped my English class last night so I could take Riley trick or treating. This was her first year to be able to walk it and actually say.."trick or treat". It was so cute. She was totally digging it. I got her a cute little witch costume. but since she is obsessed with the movie "Elf" at the moment, and had a pointy hat, she kept getting mad when people would say, "aw, what a cute little witch"! She insisted she was an elf. So I let her go with it. As long as she was having fun. LOL
After work I will head home to prepare dinner. I made stuffed cabbage in the crock pot yesterday so we will have that with something else, who knows.
Then Algebra. Ugh, will get my test back and begin a new chapter. I am beginning to really struggle in that class. I cannot wait until Dec. 15th and it's over! Although I begin another Algebra class in January.

Glad you both got a good night's sleep. I did pretty well myself. Congrats on going 2 weeks without smoking. It's tough, but you can do it! I quit about 5 years ago.. I've been tempted, especially when I am sitting here eating for no good reason. BUT, it's so not worth it to go back.
Steffi---go with PHANTABULOUS. Knock their socks off!! Besides, we wouldn't want any locals trying to attack you!!
Today has me working 7-3:30 then hitting the gym and going to pick Siehara up from choir. After that, home for dinner and I think a certain PMS'ing child is going to spend the evening in her room. She has been giving me crazy attitude lately (unrelated to the PMS) and she needs to realize that there are consequences. She just does whatever she wants to do and thinks its ok. I have given her very specific rules that she is outright ignoring. Time to pay the piper little girl. Mean mommy is here today!!!!!
That's it for me.. I hope to be able to relax tonight while she is in her room,but I have a feeling there will be added stress. We'll see.

Oh Lisa, I can totally sympathize with you. I am guessing and "hoping" it's the age. My oldest has been quite challenging lately. He's a great kid but always manages to get into trouble. He will *almost* be done with his punishment, and then go and do something to get into trouble again. I can't remember the last time he was allowed to play a video game or get online. He has been grounded from electonics and TV for weeks. I am hoping this week is better as I do start to feel bad that he is always grounded. But.........he knows the rules, and they aren't difficult or unreasonable, so it's up to him.
I often feel like the MEAN mommy. But that's what we have to do. I have always been strict with rules. Which I am proud of because anytime I take my children anywhere, they are very well behaved. You will never see my kids throwing fits or back talking me in public. (they save that for at home!) LOL

Mary - Congrats on quitting smoking !
Today has me at work til 3:30pm and then off to the Doc's tonight. We were so busy last night - it was too crazy. So many sick people and on top of that, we have a zillion people coming in for the flu shot.
I caved and decided not to give my notice last night. I'll wait and give it in the beginning of December. After talking about it some more with my boyfriend, I decided that I am going to stay until the end of the year. That will give me extra money for the holidays and extra dough to get my carpet cleaned before I vacate my apartment. Plus it won't leave them in a lurch for the holidays.
Hope everyone has a great day. For those of you going out in the rain today, be careful. It's slippery with the leaves on the ground.

It can be tough giving notice. I am leaving my job on December 18th. I did give notice already. But I kinda had to. If I wrote an official letter with resignation date, it stays in my record. and since I work for a HUGE health care facility, I will most likely come back to work for the company in some aspect after school is done.
Plus, I needed to make sure my boss had enough time to replace me. I feel terrible about leaving my doc. We are a great team and I get to help replace me. although I already told the doc, I will help him find someone great, but not as great as me! ha ha ha ha

Good soggy morning everyone - will be glad when this miserable weather moves out of here and driving in the dark isn't a royal pain anymore. So hard to see in the morning with all the traffic and stuff. Makes for a lousy commute.
Congrats on the 2 weeks, Mary - on March 11, 2010 I will celebrate 20 years smoke-free. The first week was the hardest for me - cried like a damn baby if somebody even looked at me with a sympathetic smile! It does get easier and you'll feel so much better for it. And now our company health insurance is banging smokers an extra $650 a year for their coverage - another good reason to quit.
I'm at work 1/2 day today - taking mom to the oncologist this afternoon to see where we go from here. She wants me to make a list of questions to ask the doctor - he's not very forthcoming with information. At this point I really feel that she wants someone to take over for her, tell her what she should do, etc. - she's just tired of thinking about it and dealing with it.
And on to Curves after that then relaxing with the family and watching the Phillies game - got the dog a Chase Utley t-shirt last night that's a bit snug so I'll stop this afternoon on the way home and see if I can get him a bigger one - hey, he watches the games with us - might as well be dressed for it!

It's chilly and wet outside, but that's okay since I have to work and then there is lots to do inside to keep me busy.
Lois gave me some delicious Max Protein and DaVinci syrups to make protein pina coladas. I have finally found a protein drink that I can tolerate and really enjoy - Thank you Lois!!!! I'll be meeting my protein requirement every day now! Woo Hoo!
