Pittsburgh area support groups?

I live about 35 minutes away from Pittsburgh, and really need to get back into the support group scene. I would love to join in the fun, but I know absolutely NOTHING about the area....so any suggestions and help would be greatly appreciated.
Also, I will be needing to find a good doctor that will gladly take over my follow-up and after care with me already being almost 2 years out. Any info on your doctors would be appreciated as well.

Jena B runs a cooking class / support group and she is in Pittsburgh - I know she has also mentioned a few others, hopefully she will see your post and chime in or look back a page or 2 and she posted info about the cooking class - you can always PM her.

there's a Yahoo group that's pretty active ...you can go to Yahoo Groups and do a search.

I love my doctor, but he would be a trek for you.  You probably are looking for someone West or North of Pittsburgh (like Beaver County).

I am actually a Pittsburgh patient who sees Dr Miro Uchal at AGH.  He is a great guy and I am sure they would take you as a patient.  There is also a monthly support group the third Thursday of every month.  There is not a meeting in November due to Thanksgiving.

There is also a great practice at Magee Women's Hospital that has a lot of doctors and a lot of people on these boards seem to use them.

Thanks everyone for all the suggestions. I have to work on Sundays, but thanks for the invitation. I may be able to catch up at one sometime soon tho. I have posted on my own OH board, and just don't get the response on there. Most everyone on the Ohio board is closer to the big towns, and there just isn't any life. Since I am so close to the WV/PA border, I would love to find a great support group. Ya'll mind if I chime in on the PA board? I am new to the area all together, and really feel out of place!
