Freezing Friday Roll call
Morning Pennsylvania,
I would have totally named this thread something else if I didn't have to keep it PG!! hahah
Today has me going to the OB GYN at 8AM. These silly contractions are getting closer and closer together despite the meds. I have no idea what they are going to do as a result of. So mom says "take a bag so if they decide to send you to Danville you are ready." Mom knows best, huh? LOL
If I don't wind up going anywhere and I get to come home, I think I am going to give in to my cleaning urges and do the kitchen. Don't anyone tell my mom, but I scrubbed the bathroom this evening (against her and everyone else's wishes) and fell off my toilet while cleaning the top half of the walls. Caught myself, but did twist my back a little. Scary thing! Everyone is telling me that my urge to scrub this place is the nesting instinct and to be prepared for this little one to make her debut even though she is way early.
Anyway, I hope everyone has a fantastic Friday!! Stay warm and eat right! :-)
Laura
Wow, you are adorable with your belly. Your cleaning urges definitely sound like nesting to me...I had three kids and have two grandkids, and that is what my daughter and I experienced. I'll be praying for your doctor visit. Try not to overdo with the cleaning, or next time you might hurt yourself more seriously. I won't tell your mom anything about it because I have tons of things I have done that she would die if she knew. Heck, she yells at me if I go outside without shoes on....so what if it is thirty degrees?
Friday has me grocery shopping, and Christmas shopping, and heading to my sister-in-law's for a birthday dinner for my sister.
Everyone stay warm. I hate winter, especially now that my body reacts to the cold with the pain.

Went to Wellsboro yesterday and applied for a CNA job. I think I could easily live out that way. However, I would miss all my friends here in Coudy, It is 7 degrees out there this morning and I have to be at the hospital at 7:30. We spent the last two days without ho****er so it was nice taking a hot bath last night. We are listening to an audiotape called Last Night. It's basically about an EMF pulse striking the earth and wiping out anything that is electrical. The ones that seem to be doing well are the Amish and farmers. It is a scary thought. Are we prepared?
So, I guess that is it for today. Stay warm!
Laura----For Pete's sake, take it easy! Or be careful! Or just scrub things that you can reach without standing on something!!

I'll be working today from 7:30-3:30. We're in the final days of the job, and I have a lot of things that I need to finish up. I'm hoping I can get there without having car trouble today. If the car acts up again, I'm turning around and coming home. I'll get a ride in, then just stay there till Paul can pick me up, althought it will be late.
I think we have some errands to run this weekend, and tomorrow night is the Firebird Festival in Phoenixville. Every year, the build a big wooden bird, then torch it to symbolize the town coming back from hard economic times. People make clay birds and put them inside the wooden bird; it acts as a kiln and fires them. There will be vendors selling handmade stuff. This will be the second one we go to. I'm already planning the layers I'll have to wear to stay warm!!! They sell hot drinks there, but I'd better take my own because they probably don't have anything sugar free.
Have a great day, everyone!
So, last night I was driving Siehara to dance and I heard this strange noise coming from my car. All I could think was now what is wrong with this piece of crap. When I dropped her off, I had this thought and asked her to check for a flat. Well, YUP.. back tire on the passenger side is low. Went to gas station #1, sign on air pump says broke, gas station #2 air pump appears ok.. put in a quarter, nothing. I went inside and the man working the register comes out, tries to put a quarter in--nothing, looks at my tire and just says OH... not a good sign combined with the face he is making. Thank goodness this one happens to have a repair shop attached to it. Mechanic comes out with air compressor and pumps air into the tire.. shakes his head and says to me that it's shot. It's full of bubbles. Okay, I have a donut in the trunk.. He tells me to hurry up and drive into the shop before the air comes out of the tire and he put my donut on for me. No charge.. thank G-d because I have no money. Drive to get Siehara and home on the donut
This leads me to part of today's plan--buying a new tire. Thank G-d it's pay day, but I really did not want to spend money on a tire, especially when I still have a few Chanukah presents to buy. Oh well, guess it could have been worse.
working til 3:30ish. I guess I'll wait until after work to get the tire replaced. I was going to run the car over to Sears this morning and then walk home, but it's freakin' cold outside.. LOL! Maybe I'll still do it, we'll see. If I don't run to Sears, then I AM going to go to Giant to pick up stuff. My fridge is empty. If I take the car in, then I'll do Giant after work
After work and my tire, there is a dinner at synagogue for the Sabbath and for Chanukah. After that I was supposed to be going out with a friend, but she had to cancel, so I guess it will just be home to relax.
Tomorrow, spending the day with my girls!
STAY WARM everyone!

Oh yeah, it is freezing for sure and the first day of winter has not even officially gotten here, but hey, it's been relatively mild up until the past couple of days, just think if this occurred two days ago, we'd all be buried under some major snow, I'm wishing for a white christmas (lol). . .
Well I got my new phone, for once that insurance paid off, though I purchased it through Best Buy because theirs is better than the providers, no deductible, they swapped out my phone with a slightly different, I had a Rant, now have a Rumor and the good news is I'm up for a new phone in February, so if I want to, I can get a new one and use this one as back-up, but then that poses getting familiar with a whole new phone, which can be a real pain. . . wish Sprint had the Iphone, but I do like my service better than the AT&T, which for my needs drops too many calls. . .
Anyway, it's Friday, woo hoo. . . I did not go to the Christmas party, decided that since I really don't care for the people I work with that were going, I should skip it, plus the weather sealed the fate as I did not want to drive in those windy conditions late at night, it would have been 2 to 3 hours drive there and than at least 1.5 hours home . . .
Tomorrow I will meet Sirius and that is the highlight of my life for this weekend.
Wishing you all a good day, hope you are warm and toasty, Hugs, Laureen
