Dealing with family

I know I am going to get a whooping for this one but if it were me I simply would let them know I am staying home this year and that would be the end of it and if they asked why well I for one am pretty blunt I would say because I feel like it and leave it at that.  I personally will not subject myself to toxic people and that is the end of that for me.
