Exercise questions for "losers" in NE Philly
So I have a few questions for those in the NE:
1) There used to be a free water aerobics class at Lincoln High School. Does anybody know if they still do it and if so, what the schedule is? Also, is it still where it used to be, or did the pool move when the new school was built?
2) Are there any ladies who belong to Lucille Roberts on the Boulevard? They have a Zumba class on Thursdays at 5:30 that I'm interested in trying out, but I have a huge problem. I have BAD social anxiety. Real bad. I have no problem if I fall on my face during class and make a complete ass out of myself - I just can't deal with being alone when/if I do it. Would anybody be interested in going with me?

Our greatest glory is not in never falling but in rising every time we fall.
My son swims for Northeast HS at the Lincoln pool - i is still where it used to be - he will find out if there is still an aerobics class. Also, I too belong to the Aquatics and Fitness Center on Grant Avenue near Frankford, and as Susan mentioned, there are a lot of classes there that are no additional charge than the oiginal monthly fee. The water classes that I have taken are terrific. Typically I do laps, but have partaken in a few of the water classes. I will let you know about the aerobics when my son finds out.
