Last call for advice
OK I am packed and ready to go
Waiting for call for Lehigh Valley Hospital for surgery time tomorrow.
I am making last minute trip to grocers for broth and Greek yogurt, decided I should get better brands, I am picky ,may be worse after.
I have socks , Ipod, sleep mask, lounge clothes for ride home, books(prob won't use) comb, toothbrush/paste, hair brush/ties and slippers. I also have 2 extra pillows for car. I may have Mom bring one in, after I am in room.
I also have id and ins cards.
I may try to fit in one last workout later, great way to pass time for me.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Leave laptop home??? Will be too tired???
Thanks everyone for all your support....can't wait to join you on the losers bench.

Do you have lip balm and moisturizer? The hospital air is very very dry, and I was very happy to have them.
I would leave the laptop home, and I say that as someone who is surgically attached to her laptop! I didn't want to risk it being stolen when I was in the hospital, and I'm able to access email and internet via my cell phone, so I left it home. I agree you probably won't be able to read any books (I certainly didn't have the presence of mind to read) but I did bring some magazines that didn't require a lot of thinking, like People and US Weekly.
Best wishes for your surgery and an early welcome to the losers' bench!
Lesley

Good Luck tomorrow....
The only thing not on your list that I found helpful when I returned home was bed wedge pillows.
We got them when Gene had his tummy tuck, and then I found them wonderful to use when I got home from my RnY. I used them for about 3 weeks till I was able to lie down comfortably.
