Damn....can I send you some of the parents of my students for some parenting classes??!!  I try to tell them this and they just smile and nod their head.....There is also a wonderful book called, Queen Bees and Wannabees, by Rosalind Wiseman - and she says A LOT of what you said here - it is a great book and one all of us with children at the tween and tees years.  See - it turns out i AM a good judge of character!

Wow your life with her is a mirror of mine with my 14yr old. She also has ADHD and a Learning Comprehensive Disorder. Just this year she started brushing her teeth daily. I finally told her if you don't want to brush your teeth that's your problem, maybe when one of your friends tell you how awful your breath smells it will wake  you up!!! Talk about power struggles!!!

Only thing I can offer is you're not alone. My Dad told me that she will start taking care of herself by the time she walks down the isle...LOL He was trying to lift my mood at the time.

Did you read the book?!?!  Loved the book AND the movie - one of the few that I can say that about....I was so looking forward to someone else's interpretation of the book - It can get VERY confusing - but hang in - the ending is worth it!  LOVED IT! :)

Good Morning All.

Happy sewing Trish! I can't wait to make some things for my little one.

Today has me at work but not feeling all that great. Last night I think I had a few contractions - I am super uncomfortable this morning. It's like that "day your period starts" feeling Sorry boys for the TMI. Just super crampy and achy. All I want to do is go to bed. Alas I took 2 tylenol and I Am at wor****il 4pm. After work off to the chiropractor and grocery shopping then home to make dinner and relax. Oh and I want to take a little walk at lunchtime - just down the street, not far, just in case! lol

Have a good day all! The sun is out - that's a good start already.

Good morning all - hey Pam, thanks for posting that thread earlier about introducing ourselves - I loved reading about all the newbies on the board.

I'm at work - woo-hoo - not. Should be a quiet day.

Ran to Lowe's last night for more paint and then stopped at my neighbors to peak in their window to see the new hardwood floor they're putting down (themselves) - they saw me so I had to go in and have a glass of wine with them - the things I do for friends.

So needless to say I didn't get much done at home after that. This morning I put a meatloaf together for dinner tonight - am hoping to get laundry done tonight as I'm taking a 1/2 day tomorrow and we're heading to the beach for the weekend.

Not much else new in my little world...hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning, Trish and PA!

Busy day today.  I have a doctor's appointment this morning and a medical test this afternoon.  In between, we need to run some errands---pick up the mail, pay a tax bill, fun stuff like that.

Have a great day, all!!!

It is Thursday and almost the weekend!
Last night once home I had a the most beautiful white roses waitng for me from Den for our 16 month anniversary.   I gave kisses to  Den  then we headed to drop my little Scoot off at the mechanic because he has to be inspected by the end of the month nothing like waiting to the last minute huh?

Then we made our way to Neshaminy Mall to get teh gift we were searching for then I went shopping at New York & Co  they are havng their 50%  off sale and I had a big gift card for my birthday and a coupon so I got a ton of stuff for summer and still have close to 100 on my gift card. YAY sales! Then we had dinner out then came home to rest.

This morning Den got me up at 5 am to drive him to teh train station so out I went in my Smurf jammies and came home went back to bed till the alarm went off. Now in work bored need to book air to Mexico today then after wrok pick up Den's suit and my car. Crossing my fingers little Scoot needs nothing. Then I WILL cook dinner tonight then settel in with jammies to watch my Thursday night TV line up then go to bed.
