***Freaking Friday Roll Call***
No, no OC for us this weekend. Tomorrow is cooking class, and I have yet another consult with the gyn on Monday. We're planning to head to OC after my appointment but have to come home next Sat. for a graduation party and for drop off for visitation with Paul's son. (Hate to say it, but I'll be glad when the boy is 18 and scheduled visitation is done. We have to plan everything around that.) We'll probably head down again late in June, after my 1 year followup with Dr. P.
Found some cool activities I want to check out when we get back to OC. Found them on www.ococean.com. Apparently they show a free movie on the beach once a week. And there's a storytelling thing where you learn the history of OC. Both sound like fun.
Is your GF ready for the triathalon?? Best of luck to her!!!!!

Good Morning Pam,
I read your Thursday post. Not mailing the bills is something I would end up doing. I am always late with my bills.
Today has me not sure what I am doing. I might call my daughter to see what the Munchkins are up to. I do have to chair my AA meeting at 6:30, so I am not sure if the Munchkins would be on my agenda.
I do know that I have a friend who has made a lot of negative comments about my surgery ever since I got it, and she gets really hostile with me online, as she lives in Tennessee. Her docs are telling her to lose weight, like have the surgery, and she acts like it is a sacrilige. Today she attacked me, asking what I pay for protein drinks and vitamins, as if that cost is prohibitive. I think about the lack of chips, pretzels and other junk, I do not buy.
Oh well, I am tired.
Hugs,
Trish

Trish, don't let your Tennessee 'friend' get you down - my brother-in-law attacks me when he can as well - telling me how 'deprived' I am now and how I'm not the fun Kathy I used to be because I don't sit and drink and get plastered anymore - I've learned to ignore him and turn it off - I used to come back at him with how much better I feel and how much better I'm doing and that I'm not depressed like I used to be (which caused me to drink myself into oblivian). The saddest part is my sister is heavier now than I was at my highest and is having foot and hip problems but he is so negative about my surgery that she told me she could never do it.
So you know what? This Tennessee person isn't really your friend, because if she was she would support YOU and your choices and not make negative comments about it. The friends we're going to see tomorrow are my biggest partying friends but they called and asked me what I can eat - what they can make - what do I want - that's real friendship because they support me and want what's best for me.

I understand. Part of the problem is that she is a devout Christian who believes it is wrong to mess with the body God created. I am devout, but believe God gave people abilities to heal our bodies, and make us healthier. Her doctors are encouraging her because she has serious back problems, and the weight is exacerbating them.
I guess in her case, ignorance is bliss.
Thanks for understanding.
