Okay, I am seeing my nutritionist tomorrow.  Maybe I will give her a whack on the side of the head for this one....lol

Smack her once for me, too!! LOL!! Seriously, tho, maybe that's why there is so much talk about obesity - don't take me wrong, I know it is a very serious problem in our society now - but if 'they' think that calculation indicates an ideal weight for the general population no wonder they think everybody is obese. Over the years I've had Weigh****chers counselors tell me the same thing - they would set my goal weight at 125-130 - are you freaking kidding me? I have boobs! (sorry Geoff, but it is what it is) and not everybody is meant to look like Twiggy (or Kate Moss).

If that calculation works for you and you are comfortable and have attained that goal that is fantastic! Congratulations!! And sharing any info like this is always good - but I'm glad to see I wasn't the only Negative Nelly on the board when it came to those low numbers.

And to think, I am actually an ex-weigh****cher's leader.  Used to teach in Philly a few years back.

I am pretty experienced working with people in setting realistic goals, but will always share anything I think that is neat.

:-)
