Hi Annette, I had to have my band repositioned in 2004. I, of course, had a total unfill for the surgery and then started with the one fill per month (after six weeks) program. It too****il about April 2005 to get me back to the right restriction. During that time, I could eat too much and I gained back to about 150. But, the minute I got back to the sweet spot, it came back off. I guess my message is, hang in there - once you get the right restriction back you should be fine. Take care, Vicki

You ordered it, I did it! We got the grill out - of course, it is a bit warmer than 42 degrees here..... B: skinny cinnamon dolce latte L: string cheese S: pumpkin spice latte (nonfat but it isn't sugar free) D: David is grilling hamburgers, we will have some chips and dip also. I'll have to go easy on the chips and dip. I'll have to be careful with those chips....

I bet it would be good with rice. Rice just doesn't do it for me anymore. I don't get stuck but it just doesn't feel right. My mom thought I was crazy when she came for dinner and I told her what I had cooked it in. The orange soda was too much for her. LOL I'm going to be picking Phyllis up so I will be sure to take lots of pics.

Well, I am back from my long weekend and I ate everything that I could get my hands on. If I wrote it all down you would just be shocked. So, I will report in tomorrow instead. Have a great night.

Topic: Great crock pot meal
I posted this on the main Lapband board but I thought I would post it over here too. I took 4 boneless very thick cut Porkchops (about 1 1/2 -2 inches) and browned them on both sides. Tossed them in the crock pot with 1/2 of a large onion chopped large, 1 red bell pepper and 3 cloves of garlic. To this I added about a cup of bbq sauce, some mustard, 3 T. brown sugar, some ketchup, 1 cup of pineapple juice and 1 can of Orange soda. I cooked on High for 1 1/2 hours and then low for an additional 5 hours. I pulled the pork chops out and threw out the juice/sauce in the crockpot. I then pulled the pork chops apart with a fork (very tender), threw them back in the crock pot with more bbq sauce, some more pineapple juice and a couple of tablespoons of brown sugar. Cooked on low for another 2 hours and the meat is incredible. So very tender and very Bandster friendly. I have a hard time with pork often but this today gave me some pork satisfaction and no problems. I served with some fresh green beans, new potatoes and roasted tomatoes that I purchased yesterday at the Farmer's Market. Great meal!

Oh Anita - I am sorry to hear that. This year the flu has been horrible, and keeps going around the office. I took this 4 day weekend primarily to recoup. I keep going hot to cold so I change clothes all day. Now the chicken chili I made today would warm you up!

I might not really post much to this until Tuesday, since I am still celebrating my birthday. I did make some incredible chicken chili and put enough spices in it but make hubby sweat out the toxins from the flu. He is feeling good for the first time in a while - I should be an old time healer.

Topic: Anyone know...?
I just know if I researched this I could find the answer on my own, but I'm being a bit lazy this evening. The end of November I had 1cc taken out of my band to give my "slightly" dialated esophogus a break for 8 weeks. I've had .4cc's put back in so far, but I'm no where near the restriction I used to be. I have another fill scheduled on March 26th. My question is: can you stretch your "pouch" when you don't have that optimal restriction? I can literally feel the food slide right through me...sometimes within 15-20 min after eating. I've gained 15lbs in the past 3 mos and I'm scared I'm going to gain more before I get where I need to be....yet I'm hungry again all the time and I know I'm eating more then I should sometimes!! Any support or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
