Maybe you can get in with Dr Denis, I hear they are doing surgeries at Rockland.. so maybe the wait is shorter..
When I was at sacre coeur EVERY nurse that came in my room asked me who my DR was and when I said Dr Denis, they said, FANTASTIC, he is THE BEST and his patients have the least complications, if any! It was a relief. I can tell you, 8 weeks out, I don't regret one single thing and I LOVE Dr Denis! :)

Hope you hear soon hun!

Topic: 3 years wait and not good news
Hi Everyone -

So I sent an email to Dr. Atlas asking when I could expect a date, since it had been 3 years since getting approved for VSG.  He replied right away saying he was forwarding my message to Martine.  One week later Martine got back to me to say that she would call soon, but probably with another sugeon since with Dr. Atlas it will not be before 1 more year.

I can't believe my luck.  It is crazy.  I'm going to research other options.  It will be interesting to see what I hear next.

I am not familiar with Dr. Gagner.  Is he at Sacre Coeur Hospital?
My Doctor is Dr. Ronald Denis.  Dr. Denis and his staff have been great with me.

Hello,

I have been conversing with Dr. Michel Gagner regarding WLS surgery.   Does anyone have any information/reviews/warnings etc. regarding this surgeon ?

Topic: excited.....

My surgery is at the clinic.  I start my opti fast on the 19th of Sept. and my surgery is Oct 3rd.
I have been reading everyone's post on a daily basis and you guys have been such a great help.
I have learned so much from all your experiences.  I will continue to follow everyone's progress and update you all on mine.  I am nervous and excited at the same time.
I was told I would be called on the 2nd of October to go in on the 3rd for the surgery that same day and I will be discharged that same evening.  I will be going home with meds.
You will be hearing more and more from me as I may have alot of questions....as I go along.
Thank you for the support.

I am scheduled for surgery in 3 weeks at the Rockland Clinic.  I am just wondering
if anyone has done it to be discharged in the same day?

Topic: RE: hair loss

hiya,

thanks for the quick reply...... i have experienced some hair loss with my hormones changing I went through menopause early with a hysterectomy.....

I was wondering if it was a loss of protein, or a vitamin deficiency......

thank you..................

Didn't you have a scan after surgery and they told you your sleeve was too small? (which was why you weren't able to drink water?) Maybe I'm confused??
