hello,I had Dr Garneau as well, the only reaso i walked that night after surgery is because i needed to go to the washroom and refused to use a bed pan,but literaly with 2 nurses helped me to the washroom and right back to bed and those annoying socks back on,my meel was the next morning boost a jello and water,i did not do a scan only a quick xray, and the day of surgery my 2 friends barbara and lindsay came to visit me,i thought i scared them because i was in pain crying,(the onky reason is because i was on a lot of pain medication from my brain condition, and the resident thought he did not read my file right and it was a mistake so nothing was helping, until they called the doctor and had it changed)I was afraid i scaredeven my mom but i felt much better after the right medication was given, also dr garneau was amazing i wasalways nauseatedand hard to eat to we had a barium test done in the following weekswich showed dr garneau made my stomach small but all was fine.i am so happy i found this site its great to have support from those understanding whatsgoing on,

Topic: RE: Nutrition Class at Sacre Coeur
Hello,My name is Amanda,im 26 years old,so my case is a little different i hd meet Dr Garneau in october 2010,in may 2011 my mother and i noticed i had not got a call yet,,i was tod id be operated in 6 months give or take p as i have a sever brain condition and my neurosurgeon said with weight loss id might get better,so my mom called Martine in May 2011,and they realized there was a mistake so they started the procedure,i had my nutrition class in June 2011, My preop op was in the begining of july 2011,as wel with the blood test results i gad to see ainternal medicine doctor to organize insulin for  diabetes,And my Gastric sleeve was on August 18,2011,So they say that when you have the nutrition class its supossed to be the first step and surgery is suposed to be from 1-3 months after,i guess its not always like that as some people get moved up on the list due to theur medical status,

I think it just depends on the list at the time and that it can fluctuate....mine was about 5 months from course to surgery. Im 5 months post-op now. I had a revision since the band had slipped and I was in seriuos discomfort and unable to eat solid protiens and go days without being able to keep things down.
