Hey Kelley - Are you going to Rockland for surgery or Sacre Coeur? Did they tell you how long your wait might be? Does anyone know what the cutoff is for surgery at Rockland - I know for sure I'm going to Sacre Couer because I have a higher BMI but my partner is 300lbs so maybe Rockland surgery is possible again?....

Oh no! I'm sorry that you got this news...That is just crazy, and so frustrating! I can't believe how late you're getting this news. They didn't give you an idea how long it would take to to get rescheduled? Do you just stay on the optifast? Geez, what about scheduling time off work etc, things could get really complicated. I guess that's a reminder that it just won't feel real until I wake up after surgery.
I didn't know they were starting back at Rockland again, thank god they are - the waiting list is unbelievable.

I too have been waiting since 2010 (September) and if that were me, I would definately be upset as well. Especially waiting so long as you did.

I mean, why is the government making it so difficult for Rockland to HELP PEOPLE. The waiting list is getting ridiculous.....

I've been waiting since 2010.. I was suppose to be at Rockland this friday June 1st, but they just called to tell me there has been ANOTHER problem (with the government or something) and they called to cancel my date.. I have to call back tomorrow for more news..

... How's this... Today May 30th, 2 days before my surgery (June 1st) and day 13 of my optifast... I get a call... from the scheduling department... My surgery for friday is CANCELLED...
Why? they are not 100% sure.. something to do with they were suppose to have the GREEN light to start surgeries at Rockland as of June 1st and it seems that there is a document missing to allow them to proceed... RED TAPE.
I've been waiting 22 months, I'm SICK and TIRED of QUEBEC and the GOD DAMN RED TAPE!
Get your god damn acts together and get it done!

Congrats to you on your success. I cannot wait to get my call. I am also with Dr. Denis & am getting rather eager. :-) May I ask how long you waited prior to getting your call? Just soI can get an idea of how much closer I am getting to my day.
I agree with you in regards to this site, It is incredible. I read a lot of the stories - good and bad so I am mentally ready for this. It's time.
