Monica I am so thrilled that your taking this leap of faith and your control back. Portions do get bigger with time Have an uneventful surgery and ask away any questions you have post op. No matter how ready we are the first few months are full of new sensations and worries. We're Here for you.. The losers club awaits you my friend!

I actually spoke to danielle today, it is not everyone who has to take the sleep apnea and internest exam, only if the dr. has asked for it......so at this point, I was told I do not need anymore tests....

I called to find out about the november schedule, which dr. garneau at the moment does not have any days in surgery...... I did ask when she thought I would get a date, she said december january again....

So holding my breath, crossing my fingers................ if your anxious she said that the december 
schedule will be out at the end of october.

who knows we maybe together that day..........
  
inquired about optifast the two week fast, he said if anyone could lose 20 pounds and more before the date of surgery, you need not fast all at once for two weeks, it is merely to allow the liver to shrink for easy access.............

... is when my new life will begin. A small step for the surgeon who'll be cutting out some 80% of my stomach, a gianourmous step for me!

I will post "from the other side" once I'm out of the fog of the anesthesia and pain killers. And next time we have a get together, I too will be eating a ridiculously small amount of food and be thrilled about it
