Topic: Sending in Weight progress to surgeons
Hi all,
I know others have said they send by internet to their surgeons how much they weight.
Dr. Atlas told me to go to the web site http://chirurgiebariatrique.com/ , but where do you send the info? Is it just in the contact you put your name and weight?
Thanks
Cindy

Hi Everyone,
Glad to hear your all doing so well. Congrats to you all.
I have been stuck at the same weight for what feels like forever. I know I need to move more. And now that both my kidneys have been cleared of many many stones. I have to get back at it. Since I was afraid to move to much and make the pain worse.
Too many carbs for me and not enough moving. Haven't gained any but have not lost in a few months either. Need to find the motivation and the time to get up and go. :)
I have another appointment with Dr. Atlas end of Sept. to see if I have an ulcear or if my stomach stretched too.
Lets see what next week brings.

Hi Ana!
I completely agree with you on then occasional need for extra calories to keep energy to a reasonable level...When I got back to work post-surgery, I soon found out that a "healthy" dessert (decent amount of carbs but low or no fat) had to follow proteins and veggies so I can get through my duties at work.
As far as occasional treats vs rapidity of weight loss, I think that I got what you meant... If your treat gives you a sufficient boost to undertake activities that you wouldn't have initiated whitout it, then, the extra calories ingested were kinda "useful" (...as long as you burn more calories than what you got from that treat)...
So, be reassured........It isn't "just you",

You are right, Joel, we really need to use this time when losing weight is easier to change our habits so that the weight doesn't come back when eventually our stomachs stretch.
However, being only 2 months out, I still can't eat much. And if I don't add extra calories, I can hardly get up to 600 a day. When that happens, not only my energy level goes way down, but I also find that my metabolism is much slower and I don't lose as much weight.
I wonder if it's just me... Maybe it's psychological!

Hi Ana,
Congrats, you are really doing great!
As for occasional treats, I' d just like to clarify that I don' t think that carb-containing treats do kickstart weight loss or "keep things moving". Extra calories will always be extra calories...But when my energy level is too low, I just lose the will to move and be active, so I don't see any harm in having a treat if I move enough afterwards to get rid of the extra calories... I really enjoy the fact that I now can burn calories much more readily than before WLS.
Let's face it, WLS or not, eating with moderation remains one of life's most pleasurable things!
