Hi Ada,
For me, the Listerine strips curbed my appetite, at least temporarily. Also, because they totally "scorch" your mouth with their minty flavour, I didn't feel like putting anything else in my mouth until that taste was gone. So it helped with both the cravings and the physical hunger. Mind you, it's not a miracle solution but it helped me pass through the worst of it.
Cheers,
Monica

Topic: For those who have had their surgery at Sacre-Coeur
Hi everyone!
I know I`ve been away for a while, but with only one week to go for the big day, life has been a bit insane.
The liquid diet was a challenge in the beginning, but now I'm pretty used to it. Thanks, Monica, for the tips, Listerine strips work really well! ;-)
A quick question for those of you who have had surgery at Sacre-Coeur: do they weigh you on surgery day? I'm just a bit worried because thanks to all my previous efforts and the liquid diet, my BMI is down to 35.5, which is great but if falls under 35 I don't qualify for the surgery anymore, even if all my complications. So have you heard of someone who's been turned away on surgery day because of that?
Just wondering...
Make some room on the losers bench for me!

Topic: Optifast Protein shakes and test updates!!
Hey all,
well I have been on the diet for about a week now. I cheated last nigh as my mom made me a b-day dinner I couldnt refuse. Beef Stroganof, I am so desapointed in myself this morning as I was doing so good... But I went right back to the diet this morning... I dont feel like I am loosing any weight on this??? Maybe I am too impatient ahah... Anyhow I spoke to Martine yesterday and she got some of my blood tests back and all is looking good except for my iron level was a bit low but she said nothing to worry about. I also did my sleep apnea test last night, geez it took me almost 2 hours to fall asleep with that lollll... I hope the results come back with no sleep apnea...
Anyhow, I thought id give you guys some updates, as for the smoking well I have slowed down a bit but not as much as I wanted to, but I guess I gotta take it one day at a time. Martine sais that as long as I try not to smoke 24 hours before surgery than its ok and its my choice to continue or not but she mentionned that it would be important to quit... Grrr what a battle!
Anyhow cheers all!

Topic: RE: get together!
Hi everybody,
Well, it seems that I can't attend the dinner after all...
My friends will be taking me out to dinner that night for my birthday so I can't miss it. If you guys go to the Baton Rouge on St.Jeans I may be able to drop by because we are going to be at the Elixor on Sources if we end early.
So hoping I'll get to see you before you leave Sarah...but if not have a good trip and come back soon!!!
Hugs,
Ada

Haha! I hate working out... I have been swimming because that works best for me.
Topic: Working OUT please advise............
So I have a very hectic schedule come the end of august as I am a student fulltime. My day starts at 6 am and ends at 10 pm. (school from 815 to 130 and work from 130 to 10 pm). I don't have the time to work out. Does anyone have any advice or has anyone had this type of schedule and what did you do to get some exercise in? Come summer time I have the time to excercise and stuff.
Thanks,
Betty Jo

Which ever one is most convenient to all. Sarah, do you have access to a car? We could always go to the one on St-John's in Pointe Claire.
Let me know and I'll reserve.
