Tell me what dates don't work for you and I'll see if we can work around it.

Hi everyone,

My surgery date was moved from August 15th to the 10th due to a cancellation. Its getting closer and I am getting more excited. Still have the scared feeling and hoping not to mess up. Did my Pre-op apt this past Thursday. Have a support group meeting July 7th which is for 4 hours and I am excited to go and see what it is like. I have so many questions. I am so ready to start my new life

Hi everybody!!!

I know we haven't gotten through our dinner on June 26th yet, but I'm already planning our next get together. I would like to host a bbq at my place in St-Lazare. I have an above ground pool and a spa (hot tub). I would like to do it as a pot luck dinner, so nobody will have to fork out a lot of money. I am aiming towards the end of July and would really love to have as many of you as possible attend.

Please let me know what you all think...

 Thanks Brenda,

Did you see just the Nut?  - their pre-op assessment package also includes psychologist, physiologist, and endocronologist as well. I was wondering if it would be worth the $ or not.

Thanks,

Meta

I had surgery with Dr. Christou and if you are having VSG a multi vit is all you need as you do not have a malabsorption issue. I have RNY so I do take 6 calcium citrate a day, two multivits, 5000units of Vit D and I added a magnesium because of muschle cramping issue. My labs have always been good so far. I do order from Celebrate and baratric vits. I take them as I do not need to add iron to my multi vit and bariatric vits don't have iron in their multivit. I've tried them all. I order mine online also but the shipping is getting expensive. So I do order a six months supply at a time. Dr. Christou will suggest Centrum vits. The calcium citrate tablets are a bit smaller than any other kind I have tried and early on post op swallowing is tough. Still tough some days. I have a mega amount of cinnamon calcium citrate if you want them. They taste good but I can't stand them anymore. If your interested let me know.

Derek,
What an amazing accomplishment so far. I leave for a couple of weeks and all of you are doing great on your journey's. Keep up the good work. Life will only get better. As for feeling the difference with the weight loss, well it takes time. You've always been very active and sometimes your mind needs to do some catching up with the rest of the body. I am really finding out this summer how much lighter I actually feel. It is in the little things that I notice the big changes. I am confident this is the big week for you!
