Topic: New to OH
Hi,
I just found this site while I was searching for information on revision surgery. I had RNY in Ontario 3 years ago, and I am now interested in a revision to DS. I am back in Quebec now, but I know nothing about the process for bariatric surgery approval here. Has anyone been approved by RAMQ for revision from RNY to DS? Are there any surgeons performaing the revision surgery in Montreal? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
Nancy

Topic: RE: Monday weigh-in!!!
Hi All,
You are all doing great !!! Keep it up.
For me no change this week, but that's ok.
I took the kids on a mini-vacation this weekend. We went to New Hampshire to Story Land. They LOVED it, it's the 3rd time we went and what a different experience for me.
It's a theme park made for kids about 2 to 11 years old. And all the rides are ment for parents to ride with the kids. Well as long as parents are a "normal ish" size. This time I rode ALL of the them with the kids. What a fun day. Las time I had gotten refused in front of everyone to ride cause seat belt didn't fit. So embarassed.... This time had to pull seat belt tighter... YAY!!!
Have a good week everyone

Topic: RE: Update from Martine
Ah so that's who the doctor in the room with us was... When I had my one year check up last week he introduced me to a younger doctor. I guess he will be the new surgeon.
Sorry can't remember his name.
Well hopefully that will speed things up for you.

Hi Joel,
I'd estimate in about 8-10 months if they keep to the same schedule.

Hi Monica!
Knowing this, and according to your registration date, when can you expect to be called?

Topic: Update from Martine
Hello,
So, I too have finally spoken to the famous Martine at Sacré-Coeur (she is indeed very nice). Here's the update.
- She's now calling patients who were registered on the waiting list in Feb.-March 2010.
- The waiting time for the day-surgery at Rockland M.D. is at around 18 months (Dr Atlas had told me 12-18 mo in Nov. 2010)
- They might hire a new surgeon which hopefully will speed things up a bit.
Cheers,
Monica

Hi ya'll!!!
You mentioned a get together before I have to return to the States. I have my flight booked for the 2nd of July.
Simon's 25th birthday is going to be celebrated on the 25th of June... and I wasnt sure if next weekend would be too soon to plan anything... esp. for anyone who has to travel.
Any kind of food is ok with me!! Hope we can have a get together!

Well, unfortunately for the conference I can not go. Simon and I just booked a cruise for that week! We will be on vacation from the 3rd to the 18th!
