how many calories should i be having 3 weeks out??
Not sure of how many calories i should be having a day right now... its hard to figure out portion sizes and calorie count.. i know the portion size but how many cals are pretty much in them... for instance i have 1/4 cup of can chicken an two small slices of sharp cheese.. for one meal. or like this afternoon i made meatballs w/ seasoned bread crumbs and egg.. i had one 1/4 cup size if not smaller... dinner will prb be the can chicken again.. am i eating enough calories?? i do the protein shots twice a day..
It varies by clinic, but here's my guidelines.
Don't worry about the calories. Measure by volume.
Early out it's number of grams of protein. So focus on the number you were given....I was 60g per day.
Later on meal portions should be 60% protein, 25% carbs and 15% veg and fat. Probably around 1-2 oz per meal.

Ypu should not worry about calories, just your protein by eating foods high in protein, low fat and carbs. If you are measuring and eating according to your guidelines you will not get in too many calories.
Also - I would rethink the protein shots - even if they say "Whey" if you read the lable you will see there is other types of protein in there and a scant amount of whey. Get your portein with shakes and food. (at least that seems to be the consensus of others on here)

I do the shakes sometimes i just cant seem to handle them, they are gettin to be tasting awful lately.. an all i eat is protein foods.. i get pretty much the protein im surpose to be gettin i try to choc an vanilla, an even the strawberry, its the body fortess whey from walmart.. cant seem to find anything i like.. is the fruit punch protein mix good? maybe if i get smaller containers of one kind instead of the 2lb ones n diff flavors mix it up a little i can deal with it.. like my dinner tonight is frozen blueberry yogurt.. not really hungry but i know i need to have something..
I was told not to worry about calories. Pay attention to gettig in al of your protein. Atleast 60grams at this point out. U could also use the nutrition ticker on here. As far as the cheese goes, I would buy a scale and measure it. Then it would be easy to put it in. The meatball would probably be a guess (approx 120 cals and about 8g protein) .
