What's on your menu this Tuesday, RNYers?
Hey...great minds think alike...I have been stuck for the last 3 weeks and yesterday I looked at my carbs and they had crept up to about 70-90 a day so I decided under 50 for a week to see if anything happens....well this morning nothing did...let's see for the week! It is hard because most of my carbs and allot of my protein come from dairy....
B: 1 whole egg and 2 egg whites and a little smoked salmon all scrambled together
L: Quest bar ( running between yoga and Pottery)
S: decaf coffee ( no starbucks unfortunately...too many carbs!) with a drop of coffee mate....
D: 50 grms last night's leftover grouper, mixed with a couple of spoons of 0%greek yogurt, some portable veggies, ( eating between pottery classes...and yes I am obsessed)
S: I really liked the cool whip with low fat, low carb fit and light yogurt so that is my evening treat!
keep warm everyone...even in Southwest Florida, I am wearing a sweater...anyone feel sorry for me?
Joan
Oh that's so funny, D! I'm not sure that I'm a big believer in the super low-carb plan as a long term option (I'm talking about healthy carbs like fruits and veggies and dairy - not refined carbs), but I do think it's a good way to sort of hit the reset between in my mind. I'm going to have to be VERY careful in my planning and choices for the next five days and I think that's going to be a really good thing!

Good Morning! We ended up with about 5 inches here in CNY, so just another day in the neighborhood. LOL I was out last night for my son's basketball game (his team advanced to the championship game in their Catholic Schools Week tournament! Go Green Wave!) and even though we've all seen snow covered roads before, driving was sllooooowwwwww. It's nice to see it all clear this morning so people can return to normal. It's still damn cold, though. I'd rather it snow every day and be 30 than deal with these single digits.
Funnily enough, my menu today landed under 50 gms of carbs. I do wonder if that's the secret.
B: coffee with half & half and a L&F Greek in chocolate raspberry. This is not my favorite, but it was the only one left in the fridge this morning, thanks to my husband. Boo. I'll probably have a cheese stick, too.
S: Graze box! This time it's Campfire Smores, which has "milk chocolate and salted almond buttons, cookie drops and vanilla marshmallows". Sounds terrible. Not.
L: Leftover Italian venison and pork rinds
D: Since we did Chinese last night (wonton/eggdrop soup and a spring roll) tonight I'll have my chickpea burger with eggs on top.
V: Multis done, the rest of them are in my bag. My morning load of vites (9) is a big 'un.
TOTALS: Calories: 840 Protein: 87 Carbs: 42 Fat: 38
I'm pretty happy with these numbers. Now I just need to make them a reality and not change paths mid-stream!

See - I WISH we had gotten 5 inches of snow! Around here that probably would have meant closed for two days LOL.
I keep forgetting to try this veggie burger with an egg thing - must put on my menu next week.

Thanks! It took me a little over 6 months, my highest weight was at my last pre-op appointment which was about a week before the surgery.
How are you feeling? I think when I was about a month or so out I was finally feeling like myself again!

Sounds like we got more snow here (WI) than you did (we got about an inch and a half yesterday)! But unfortunately it takes anywhere from 6-12 inches to get a snow day here. But I'm excited for you! Enjoy sleeping in and lounging around Speaking of MFP, if anyone would like another friend my user name is huss212. I log religiously and love to see the progress of my friends. I had an interview for a new job yesterday (b/c my current new job is horrible) and it went really well (keep your fingers crossed for me). The funny thing is that I have worked at this place before, about 2 1/2 years ago, and everyone was commenting on how great I looked :) Wonderful NSV!
Time since surgery: 6.5 months
B: SF Latte and 1/2 a ThinkThin Bar (what I didn't finish yesterday)
L: Starbucks Protein Bistro Box and SF Latte
S: Atkins chewy nut bar (what I didn't finish yesterday, hmm theme here)
D: Pasta bake (not low carb but yummy in moderation)
W/V: Started
E: Father, I have sinned. It's been 4 days since I last went to the gym... I NEED TO DO SOMETHING!
Have a great day all!
I sent you a friend request on MFP! And good vibes for a new job; I know how soul sucking a terrible job can be.
