I hear ya - this post helps me organize.  It actually forces me to log my entire day in MyFitnessPal so I can then post it, which forces me to think about my meals and defrost something, or realize I need to run out to the store, or notice my carbs are high so I have to swap X for Y.  It totally keeps me on track!

I agree it makes me think about my food and plan. Even if I eat something different, I am not stuck with "I don't know what to eat"

Good morning.  I've been in parent conferences since 7:40.  Finally got a little breather.  Luckily, they have all gone well so far.  No one is mad at me :)  I'm hanging out with my mom Sunday.  We are going to a show in Atlanta, but we'll be home in time for the Super Bowl.  We both mildly like football, but we want to watch commercials!  I'm planning either bbq baked chicken, boneless pork chops, or Mexican crockpot chicken tacos.  (Tacos for mom, I'll probably have mine naked :)  We are going to PF Chang's for lunch in Atlanta, so we may just opt for leftovers.

Time since surgery: 6 weeks

B: protein shake

L: leftover grilled chicken, 1/4 c fruit, 1 oz deli ham, bel gioso snacking cheese

S: crispy chickpeas

D: ???  Maybe leftover baked chicken

S: edamame

Water and vits started.  Behind on both because conferences have been back to back.

Hi,

No Super Bowl party here, but we are making apps for dinner.  Some good, some bad.  I am sharing my shrimp ****tail, and a cheese plate, and mushroom pate I got off of The Chew, I like it without the bread.  I read about deviled eggs and now I want those too.  My niece is making smokey links and cresants (like a pig in a blanket, her daughters favorite and she can make them and dip in ranch), artichoke spinach dip also from The Chew, and maybe pizza.  So I am hoping to make only good choices and will fit what I eat in my daily plan.

It is icy here, schools closed so there is a 6 year old boy, 5 year old girl, and a 1 year old boy.  Cousins.  The noise and excitement of staying home is all you can here.  They are making the best of it for sure.  They don't understand that they can not go outside and play in the snow it's icy, go figure, they have exhausted all the reasons there idea is good.  It's good to be a kid today.  They decided they were going to stay in there PJ's cause they can't go out.  I guess that is the closest to a rebellion they can get.

17 weeks since surgery

B  1 slice of Sara Lee ww light toast, cheese whiz, egg, 2 sl of turkey bacon, making an open face sandwich

L  2 oz chicken rottisarie, 1/4 cup of mashed potatoes

D  2 oz chicken, mashed potatoes, mushroom pate without the bread tastes a lot like saute mushrooms

S  shrimp ****tail, dole dipper maybe

cal 799, prot 62, carbs 48 more if I have the dole dippers

V/W  started

E  was again going to take the day off, but will do at least 45 min of the bike

Hope you all have a great day.

Good Morning All (or afternoon for most of you), I'm late to the post today.

The super bowl party I'm going to is also serving chili, and I'm bringing a buffalo chicken dip (thanks for the rec Em) with cut up veggies.  The stats are really good, I already loaded it into MFP http://reciperunner.com/skinny-buffalo-chicken-dip/  I'm hoping to really load up on that (I think I'll double the recipe) and then have a small bowl of chili and I should be good to go!  The party I'm going to is going to be pretty low key, so I'm not to worried about things getting out of control and me eating too much.

Time since surgery: 1 yr, 1 wk

B - 2 string cheeses

S - Simply protein chips in chili flavor (I got these on Amazon, they are ok, but not awesome.  I prob. won't buy them again)

L - TBD (I'm thinking chili here)

D - I'm getting my hair done tonight (yeah, my roots are horrible and one of my best friends is my hair dresser, so it's always fun to hang out with her for the night)..but I didn't plan much for dinner, so I'm thinking I'll get a large chili, eat half and then eat the second half tonight.  Exciting food choices, I know you're all jealous, lol :)

W/V - On track

E - None planned (well, I planned to get up early, but didn't so now there's no recovering).

Have a great day everyone!

For the game, we do apps only. I'm sure hubby will make sausage balls & queso. I'll make dressed eggs, cheese cubes, and probably these roasted mini peppers stuffed with goat cheese & wrapped in procisutto (I can't get enough of those right now)
