What's on your menu (photo) Friday, RNYers?
Awwww I love seeing everyone's pictures! You all look so sassy! Love it!
This is a pic of me after a really hard strength-training class a few days ago, that my friend at the gym snapped of me. Ignore the sweat and the excess arm skin...sigh...other than the arms, I do feel pretty fit when I see this pic.
I have a good plan for today and tomorrow, namely because I will eat a little off plan at a SuperBowl party Sunday. I did go to a six hour happy hour last night and had one vodka soda - it's so nice to not be hungover like I would have been in my former life after six hours at a bar lol.
B: Coffee with half and half, S'Mores Quest Bar (YUMMY new flavor!)
S: 1.5 oz of the final leftovers of the Costco rotisserie chicken salad
L: Sauteed shrimp with Trader Joe's red curry sauce, 1 oz mung bean and edamame "pasta"
S: Hard boiled eggs, Boar's head turkey, ultra thin pepperjack cheese
D: Same as lunch
S: Yasso mint chocolate chip frozen greek yogurt bar
E: I did 50 minutes of strength training this morning, followed by 35 minutes on the Arc Trainer
Totals will end up around 1,300-1,400 calories, 80ish carbs, 110 protein
I am so glad I reigned in the carb-y snacks I was seeing creep into my diet. As the days go by, I miss them less and less. I know what I need to be eating, and it feels good to be in control and making (mostly) good decisions. All part of this learning experience, I suppose!
Have a great weekend, everyone!!! Em
cute babies...they look like mini Annys!
Still too stupid to load my photos...look on my profile if you want to see the shrinking lady!
Still obsessing over carbs...have kept them down below 50 last 5 days...today I lost a whopping 1/2 lb...so the dilema is: DO I stay low carb for another week and see if that is the reason or was it just time for me to loose 1/2 a lb????
Think I will try another week but this is killig me!
B: 50 gr smoked salmon, 1 rice cake, 2 tbls light boursin cheese
L: 2 egg whites, 1 whole egg omelet with spinach and maybe some greek yogurt with red pepper ...oooh...maybe some onions and redpepper in the omelet
S: 1/2 Quest bar...and maybe a skinny grande starbucks cap...there should be carbs for that!
D: grilled salmon ( big salmon day...getting really bored with my food!), grilled zucchini, salad
S maybe a dairy queen fudgicle or a sugar free hot chocolate
Have a good weekend all...oh Anny and Em...have the low carbs made a difference in weight loss? or am I all alone in this mire?

I'm horrible at selfies, so now I'm going to start making friends take pictures of me through out the week :) Oh well, after years of hiding from the camera, I guess I have some making up to do...love the color of your sweater!
Hey all! Today, in lieu of an actual picture, I will tell you I'm wearing brown corduroy leggings, brown knee high boots and an A-line white button down that's long enough to cover my butt. Enjoy the visual.
And (so excited) I. got. mah. FitBit yesterday! I didn't even have a chance to open it yesterday what with Scouts and Open House but tonight while my guys are off snowboarding, I'm going to play around with it. Yay! This weekend is filled with basketball (natch) and football and chili. Also, per the school nurse, my boy needs glasses, so we're going to get that taken care of. Yay for FSA because my vision coverage blows. I'm also totally going to walk so I can count my steps!
B: coffee with whole milk (gradually stepping down from the half & half) and a L&F Greek strawberry
S: P3 pack with chicken, peanuts and cheddar
L: 3 oz. deli ham with 2 provolone thin slices on 2 light rye Wasa crispbreads
D: Barber Farms Seasoned Selects (the unbreaded kind) broccoli cheese stuffed chicken breast and a 1/2 c peas
TOTALS: Cals: 810 Protein: 77 Carbs: 51 Fat: 34
I've been thinking about the Yasso frozen yogurts bars pretty much non-stop since yesterday, so I think I need to make a Wegmans pit stop before I go home.

Yeah Fitbit! I'm obsessed with mine and I can honestly say it makes me move more, so it was worth the investment!
