Pinching, stabbing pain left side

Mine was never severe enough to need pain meds, but it did last about 3 weeks and then all of a sudden I realized it was gone. My doctor said the same, that there was a deep stitch (I had one on the right side as well that healed quicker...I had my band removed, hence the other side pain). Keep up with the doctor for sure!
