What's on your Sunday menu, RNYers??
I rarely got drunk or drank a lot before RNY. I had my college years to be "stupid" and even then I really wanted to drink.
I never thought that I would experienced what I did post op RNY with drinking alcohol.
I would be the last person who would tell people not to have a glass of wine or ****tail once in a while. I believed that having an acoholic drink a few times a week is better than being an abstinent.
But if I can tell anyone what not do do ever post oo WLS is don't drink alcohol.
BTW: I never blacked out as not remembered what I did even if I drank too much. But if that would happen, I would have to go to sleep. One real embarrassing event I had was when we invited 2 couples for dinner - to taste real polish food. I was prepping and cooking and beside my coffee, and tea, I forgot to eat. When friends arrived, we open bottle of wine and as I was finishing the dinner, and placing things on the table, I had a small couple of glasses or wine. Probably 8 oz or so total. After everything was ready, we started eating. I had little of food, then excused myself and..went to bed in the MB.
My guy came to check on me, and asked me what's wrong. O was an honest drank so I simply told him : I am drank. The company finished the dinner, had a good time then helped my guy put lrftoleft away and clean after.
I got up in the morning and called my friends to apologise. Thankfully, the 2 couples were family (or like family) so they were not offended. But I still cringe when I think about that.

I wasn't much of a drinker either before RNY, and I really don't like the feeling I expierienced of not remembering details from last night. I certainly don't wish to repeat it anytime soon!
