He looked so incredibly happy playing on Thursday night. Like he was exactly where he wanted to be.

We will make it eventually. We were supposed to go see Barenaked Ladies during freshman orientation , but both the concert and the orientation were cancelled. I've been twice just to walk around, but no events. DS is in the Deckers area camping this weekend - have you been down that way?

Beautiful area! Some good hike and some only the dedicated hikes, lol. I think it's pretty good foe fly fishing too, from what friends who fish say.

Why are the SS pots hard to clean? I found them very easy to clean. I discovered a few different methods for different issues.
i.e. spots from cooking water based food - they clean effortlessly when I use a splash of vinegar and let is sit for a few minutes, then use the regular plastic scrubbing sponge to wipe it.
Stuck on food - put a fair dose of a regular plain salt in the bottom, add some water, cover it and cook for 5-10 min. Let get cool, then remove the adhered food- I use a a brush or just a spoon to scrape most stuff, then is just fine.
Burn on food - like when I forget I'm cooking something, if the soaking with salt did not work, I dry the pot/ skillet, and I use "no fume/low fume oven cleaner. I dry the pot with the black marks, they take it outside and cover the bottom with the Oven cleaner foam. Let it sit for a few hours (outside, but covered). Rinse well. repeat for really burned stuff in it.

I don't think you are either of that.
I am lazy and messy, so I invented ways to clean things with a little effort. Like SS pots and skillets.
I'm "working" on Keith now, replacing one at a time, Non Stick skillet with a SS. 1 down, 2 more to go. He really likes the cast iron skillets. I may see if i can get him to switch one of the NS to cast iron.
I also have ceramic-like NS skillets but I heard they are also not the best.

I bought a set of stainless steel pans from a warehouse club for about $50. That was back in the early 1980's when $50 was a lot of money. They still look like new, are easy to work with and easy to clean. Every so often I go shopping for a new set, but never find any I like enough to replace what I have.
