Except for the pb patties I would eat the rest if I weren't scared of her wrath. She is like her dad, leaves sweets alone then out of the blue is in the mood for them, and god help me if I have already eaten them.

So glad to hear about your happy momma bear Monday! Except, you know, for the cookie part. :)

I did buy some mascarpone cheese in your honor and will have a small piece of toast with it and some fancy jam sometime this week to give it a try. Then the rest will probably be an ingredient in next weekend's food prep. Woo!

Hello Monday Menu Friends,

I also had a nice weekend with DD. We did make it to Jesus Revolution, which I thought was pretty good. I liked that it was based on a true story. Otherwise, we didn't really do a whole lot otherwise. Got my workouts in, meal prepped for the week, etc. DH and DS get home from their trip to Columbus OH (Arnold Classic). It sounds like they got to meet many top bodybuilders, watched lots of powerlifting, and enjoyed the Expo.

This week I have my 2-year follow-up with the bariatric team. I need to discuss the liver enzymes with them. I did start NAC and Liver Cleanse supplements. It will be interesting to see if they make any difference in the liver enzymes levels.

QOTD: I don't really think I hold grudges. Maybe when I was younger I did more so but I, like many of you, cut those people out of my life instead of keeping them in my life. Why keep people in your life if they cause you negative feelings?

my liver enzymes were high the first year or 18 months. I remember my PCP being a bit concerned, but after that they were at - and stayed at - normal levels. I've read that's not uncommon after bariatric surgery.

Woo, almost two years out! How far you've come. I also have slightly elevated liver enzymes but they've been slowly coming down since initial levels. Hope yours normalize!
