Good morning ~ Very sweet cookies! So happy it's Friday, I'm ready to relax. I have a short day at work today. I just need to finalize a few things and pack up. I have a pedicure and a hair appt this afternoon, then home to nest and relax. I was looking on my blood panel results for vitamin K and there is only K1, is K2 a special test? The test they used to check clotting time for surgery was called PPT.
QOTD - I'm still in a hard Steven King phase. I just finished the Mr. Mercedes trilogy and started The Outsider. I have so many books on my read list it's insane, but the heart wants what the heart wants and right now it's Steven King. TV - right now is only Yellowjackets. I haven't had time to get into anything new, but the next couple of week I will be looking and binging for sure. Great question and great timing!
Accountability -Prefect. This is my last day of liver shrinking diet, tomorrow is full liquid.

When you finish the Outsider, will you watch the hbo series or do you need time between reading and watching an adaptation?

Yes, I will watch it, but I will have to get over who they cast for Holly. A co-worker showed me a scene from the show and it really messed with my head!

Once you adjust to the characters not matching your brain characters (which is always a thing for me except for with HP which was cast so well), I think you'll love them. It's a really talented cast.

I don't think there is test for k2. I know we need k2 to put the calcium and other minerals into bones. I often take mega dose of k2. Like 15,000 mcg of k2 mk4,

According to my clinic, all the fat-soluble vitamins are special tests that are ordered separately. Mine doesn't say just K1, so could be differences in labs. K is the vitamin I've struggled the most with, so I do take dry forms of K1 and K2 regularly.

Have you read any of Kings books written under the Bauchman name? They definitely have a different vibe to them. I only have read one but it was pretty good.

Good morning everybody!
I didn't eat until I got back from the gym last night. That was between 8:15 and 8:45. Which would be fine except that I have to get 12 hour fasting bloodwork this morning. So, I am counting down until 8:45 so that I can finally get my draw and eat!! The hospital with the blood clinic is about 45 minutes away, so after I post, I will hop in the shower and head over.
Then I am stopping at a nearby diner on the way home for steak and eggs. Plus all of the coffee. And a big tomato juice.
Today is a work day, technically, but more of a personal day. I will catch up on a few things at work, but mostly just doing personal errands to get a head start on the weekend. I need to mail something, get my bloodwork, order some paleo treats and condiments, and organize my workouts leading up to the meet I entered into June 3rd. All the things that don't actually involve work.
Marilyn's friends invited us to join them out for brunch on Sunday. I haven't seen them in awhile, so I'm looking forward to it. But the restaurant that they chose is all junk food. I kind of expected brunch would be pretty easy to find something close to on plan (ham, eggs and a Bloody Mary would have been perfect). But I will do my best not to blow up. Marilyn did say that she could cook a ham for next week's meals.
My youngest has registration at 9:00. Hopefully, it goes smoothly. Older son's registration is unchanged.
QOTD: Was I the last person to watch The Last of Us? We have also been watching Fire Country. Its pretty good.
Photos are DD channeling Taylor Swift:
Breakfast: Steak and Eggs
Lunch: Proscuitto Fig salad from the Whole 30 cookbook
Dinner: Halibut
Have a great day, all!
