What's on your Wednesday Menu?
Morning gang. Halfway through another week and finally see some sun. Of course this weekend is going to be a total washout. Really getting sick of the rain especially on the weekends my only time to do a lot of stuff outside.
I had a meeting with my plant manager and the lead FA1 and we talked about scale coverage late yesterday. I will be covering from 7am to 4pm Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I do have my fourth of July week off. I found out that when you are out on FMLA you do not accrue PTO time so Renee is going to be in for a rude surprise when she finds out she is not going to have 30 hours of time off that she thought she would have. I also found out that she was bragging to other co-workers that she could have only taken 2 weeks out since the procedure she was having done wasn't very invasive, but she wanted the Summer off so she could ride her new motorcycle. You know what they say Karma is a *****
QOTD: Have you ever just spontaneously bought something because you thought it would be useful? I didn't, but my husband did. Last Winter he bought the goats this huge, heated dog mat because he thought they would be cold. It is still in the box.
B: coffee and 2 scrambled eggs with cheese and onions
L: salad with cottage cheese
D: ribs on the grill
30 minutes on the treadmill
Oh Mel I bought that tapestry and I plan on hanging it up in my office. When it comes in I will take a picture.

I look forward to seeing it! I loved it!
mornin y'all!
Yesterday's PT kicked me right in the butt. I am so so sore. Two days of rest then another session Friday. My a/c died last night so we have to put in the extra one we have today. It's going to be up in the upper 80's and lower 90's for the next 7 days. So sleep was nonexistent pretty much. Maybe an hour or two. It's an easy fix so it's just one bad night. Thankfully we have an extra one!
Our couch came in yesterday. They will deliver it Friday. Yay! So excited! I hated our old one so much and never sat in it. It was truly the dogs couch. It stunk and was slathered with spit and hair. They won't be able to get on this one while we're not here and on it. We're going to make a raft of cheap pool noodles to keep on the seat.
QOTD: story of my life. I love gadgets of all kinds. I like to figure out how to use them and then I tend to forget about them. The cricut wa neat at first then no one appreciated what I made so it went sour for me. Cook books. When I'm in a manic mood it's worse for impulse buying.
B: breakfast burrito, coffee
L: not sure. Maybe a wrap from Burger King. Depends.
D: chicken satay.
Good morning, everybody!
Ha on the tapestry! It's been beautiful in Chicago this week, but my son's are keeping the house so cold that I keep thinking that it's chilly out. At least until I walk outside.
Last summer I went to lane swimming at 5:30, and the last two times, I have tried the 12:00. Our pool is shaped like an L, so the 5:30 swim uses the longer lanes (50 meters). But I love the 12:00, it's not crowded and the sun is at its peak. I think I'm all in on 12:00.
The Orvis location in downtown Chicago is closing, so they are having a closing sale. I think that I will walk down at lunchtime and see if they have any great deals. All that I actually need are a few tungsten beads and some thread, but I could still return with a full bag, we'll see.
Marilyn asked if I could be home by 5:00, so that she could leave for tennis after she picks me up. Hopefully, I can make 5:30 CrossFit.
QOTD: Yes, mostly tools for projects that never got started.
Breakfast: bagel
Lunch: hot dog
Dinner: hopefully some meatballs are left
Have a great day, all!

I have a pet camera that is still in the box. One of these days I will open it up and figure out how to set it up. The way cats are he might decide not to use it. Like his fancy heated bed that he refuses to have any part of, a lot of what I buy him is not used.
It is 73 with bright sunshine today. Reminds me of the poem that says What is so rare as a day in June. Then if ever come perfect days.
Once long ago I took the exam to work as a postal employee. I had an interview and the person hiring told me I had the top score on the exam and if I wanted the job he had to give it to me. It was a perfect June day. He told me that i would be working in all types of weather and would have to deal with things like dogs. He wanted me to understand that all days would not be a perfect June day and he told me that his opinion was that I would be happier in an office and not out carrying mail.
I was looking for a job and the pay was excellent but he did convince me not to take the job. I got called to GM about a week later and that was an office job with no worries about being out in bad weather or dealing with dogs.

Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
Good Afternoon, I am glad you were able to create a plan with the plant manager. It is always helpful when there can be a dialogue about a concern or something that is causing stress. This week is a good week here at work to get caught up on projects and improve some processes before we jump into payroll again next week. Tomorrow I will be pretty busy making some quarterly tax payments (Jim, I am sure you can relate!).
QOTD: I bought an Ipad a few months ago and I use it less than I thought I would. I wanted to stop using pen/paper for notes but I still tend to do that instead of pulling out the Ipad. I do use it for my telehealth apps which was the other main reason for it.
I took a rest day and menu is about the same as yesterday.
I hope you all are having a good one!
Good evening, hope you all had a great day. Hubby was away all day so I planned many jobs but the stupid knees had other plans. It was cooler today, only 88, and one job was to tackle some of the garden weeds a bit at a time with rest in between. However I saw the bindweed was flowering so that's a full scale emergency. Got one bed weeded and part of another, also yanked all the vines I could manage that had flowers. Did it without passing out, yay! But now it hurts too much to do my exercises and I have pt at O dark thirty tomorrow.
QOTD: Too many times to count and my house is teeny so they don't get to stay very long. Love this quote from the internet "All this clutter used to be money".
After having to throw up last night's attempt at dinner and sick all evening it wasn't inspiring to plan meals for today but here's what happened today:
B-another chocolate protein/collagen almond milk frappe. So easy and lasts me hours.
L-chopped last night's leftovers to smithereens but was only able to eat half of the half.
D-a pint of homemade chicken-vegetable soup. That's cheating by being a slider meal but I couldn't face anything getting stuck tonight.
LS-2 T chia seeds in water.
Comes to 576 calories, 73g protein, 32 g carbs, 18 g fat and a whopping 2,176 mg sodium. I've got to get control of the salt! PS-there's 2 tsp of Benefiber in that morning coffee every day but this medication really slows things down so it is wise to be proactive with the fiber and daily water.
