Pity Party-OT
This has nothing to do with weight loss, really. I am having the worst week! I have 4 Huskies that live at my dad's house in a large fenced area. Long story. DH keeps promising to fence our yard, but it isn't happening. I LOVE them. Saturday afternoon, 3 of them got out through a hole in the fence, but we weren't told until after dark, so couldn't look for them until morning. I spent 3 hours in the back of an El Camino in the rain looking for them( before pain pills). Found 2 and got them back in. Got home to a message that they were out again. Spent 2 more hours finding them again. Came home and went right to bed. Totally missed Mother's Day. They escaped again yesterday and are still missing, despite hours of searching. I did find the one picked up on Saturday at the SPCA. Step-mother's friend called them. Got totally reamed out by my step-mother for half an hour last night for being an evil person because she is embarrassed that my dog ran through her friend's (who lives in a big house) flower garden and she is enjoying my dilemma. They are just big sweet goofuses. As if I planned it and as if I am enjoying spending 4 days driving all over in the car not knowing if my babies will ever be seen again. I am bruised and battered and muddy and crying. Really feeling sorry for my puppies and myself. She hates me and I am just vulnerable enough right now to buy into all of her garbage. I am so sad and I am eating too much. Help! :- (

Barbara,
I'm praying that you find your puppies soon. I know how hard it must be for you. Mine is like one of my children. I call him "My little person with fur"
They love us in spight of ourselves, don't they? I'm sending up a prayer for you and them
I know this is easier said than done, but hang in there Sista'...This too shall pass.
Sometimes our loved ones forget we have feelings too
I'm praying there will be a happy ending real soon.

Hi barbara! I am so sorry to hear about your lost puppies, I hope that they come home soon. Your step-mother sounds like the lady I married. She was so bad she locked me out of my own house. I just don't understand why people can be so mean.
Good luck and you know we will all be here for you.
Hugs,
Britt
Hi Barbara,
You are right, mean people DO SUCK!
Your step-mother needs to stop and look in the mirror and wonder why she is such an insecure person that she lives her life worrying about what other people think about her and get a clue and stop being a bozo!
I totally understand what you are going through. My new neighbors and tenants just moved in a couple of weeks ago and they have 7 rescued, formerly abused hunting dogs that they are rehabilitating and finding homes for, which to say the least, are a handful. they are the cutest dogs though.
They have gotten out two at a time or more (depending on how frisky each one is at the moment) and roamed my neighborhood. One that was abused pretty bad hopped the fence because she was scared to be in a new place, but now I think she is just out for a good time lol. Needless to say, a privacy fence is coming soon.
Keep your chin up; things have a way of working themselves out a certain way
Hope to see you tomorrow night at the MUSC support meeting or the next LCBB meeting.
Cheers
Lisa
