what time is your surgery on the 20th? i am having my husband's aun****ch my daughter that week so i can come sit with you in the hospital. my poor husband was stuck by himself for 3 1/2 hours during surgery and another 2 hours before they would let him into recovery. i was in a bit longer than most though.

Awwe, Sherry, you are so sweet! They haven't given me an exact time yet. I have my last pre-op tests and classes on Wed. Then she said they will call me with a time on Monday morning, or maybe give me a time on Wed. depending. I asked why they wait til the day before surgery, and she said it had to do with possible cancelations, how many procedures, etc...though it didn't make much sense to me. lol You really don't have to come sit with me, since my sister will be staying with me at the hospital (though who knows...she may want a break! lol), but I would love a visit from you...someone who's been where I will be! You are too kind to be willing to do that! My sister is flying out to stay with me while I am in the hospital...my husband can't miss work, and this one guy at a support meeting was so adamant about saying I will not want to be alone at all in the hospital...that I was a bit freaked out! lol Thanks Sherry...can't wait to meet you! ~Elizabeth

your angel promises to be there for you before, during, and after surgery. he or she keeps the forum informed of your progress during and after surgery. your angel helps you through the good and bad of this journey. i REALLY wish i had had one when i had surgery. of course, after joining this forum, i have many angels. melony was my first one. she introduced me to these people. thanks melony!!!!!!!!!!!!
