I think I dump. I just found out quite by accident. What I thought was the amount of sugar alcohols in a protien bar was actually real sugar!!! I'm sweaty, heart racing and extremely pale and nauseous. I ate the bar and halfway through started to feel funny. I read the info label again and saw that it had 14 grams of REAL sugar and the 3, 4th and 5th ingredients are corn syrup, sugar and high fructose corn syrup! I feel awful, but glad to finally know. Well, I guess I'm happy. But I feel really bad. It was a Zone perfect bar. I rememebr Michelle telling me that we could have Zone bars and they were cheap, so I bought a box. I did skim the ingredients and I thought the 14 grams was of Sugar alcohols, and even though that is pretty high, I don't have any sensitivity to them, so I went a ahead and bought 'em. Zone was probably one of those she said that we can have SOME of the varieties... I need to pay more attention I guess. Why is is that the Protien supplements that are the best for us are the ones that are the most expensive and most horrible tasting. Is it some sort of conspiracy? Kathy

Awwww Kathy ... are you feeling any better? For me, this would be a good thing. Knowing I would be sick would be good insurance to keep me away from those bakery cakes and Krispy Kreme doughnuts! But you dumped while trying to eat something good for you ... seems a bit unfair! Sugar alcohols sometimes cause the rapid heartbeat and sweaty thing to happen for me, so for now I'm assuming I would have the same reaction or worse to real sugar. I have to make a carrot cake for my brother-in-law on Friday -- will I lick the frosting spatula, or won't I??!! Right now, I'm thinking NO, but I'm terrified old habits will take over, and the darn thing will be on my lips before I realize what's happening! Pray for good sense to prevail! Feel better soon!!! I feel better now. It took about an hour, but the shakes and nausea and stuff are all gone. Now I feel like I want to SLEEP. Don't do it!! Don't lick that spoon! That reminds me of when I was on full liquids and I was throwing out Teagans Chicken Mcnuggets and the last leftover one was in my mouth before I knew what was happening. I spit it out like it was poison! Old habits are hard to break. Kathy

Hey you, I'm glad you're feeling better...dumping sucks uh? Did it take a while for the yuckiness to go away? At least now you know how you'll react to too much sugar. Our pouches really do hold us accountable one way or another...thank God!!! Tonya

Sugar Alc. always makes me dump, still and I have to watch it as much as sugar. Some people don't dump on alcohol, but I do. At 1 yr out, I get sick feeling if its too much, I found I can stay at below 4 gms of alcohol and low sugar I am okay in small, small portions like Ice Cream. Edy's carb benefit, in CA its dryers, and its the only one I can eat. Breyers makes me sick. Take care! Power crunch bars are good and not bad, and so are the atkins, but only the choc. chip ones. Read the lables, but those are the only 2 bars I can eat Love ya!! Deb
