Need Advise ASAP

My uncle just got out of the hosp yesterday from WLS.. and he had RNY , and I cant remember what pain medicine i took afterwards??? I know theres some you CANT have, but i cant remember how i took it? (brain fart) The prescribed stuff is knocking him out cold all day and he needs to be up and going instead of laying down sleeping.. i think i took tylenol cut in half, but i cant remember??? THANKS YALL Jen

Yep its Tylenol. Supposedly there is an adults liquid. Also, some people took a half of the prescription stuff. I, on the other hand, chose to stay knocked out all day. Kathy

You need to take all liquids at this time, not pills, even crushed or cut in half. Get some kid's tylenol and you are going to have to double it. Just no NSAIDS or Advil, Ibuprofen or motrin stuff. I took the liquid lortab, but not the full amount, I took sips of it just to cut the pain, and sleeping a lot is not so bad at this stage as long as he is eating and getting his protein liquids Good Luck, and if you have other questions, tell him to call the floor where he was in the hospital!
