That's the word on my gastro-gastric fistula! Dr.Bour said he had not looked at the films from Wednesday's Upper GI on a big screen yet, but after viewing them at the office today, he says there is no evidence of anything wrong in my digestive tract. He said my "stomach remnant" didn't even have any air it it, which was an excellent sign that the fistula wasn't open anymore. YAHOOOOO!!! He was pleased with the amount of weight that I've lost, saying I'm right on track for three months out. He suggested that the next time I was in Walmart, I should go and lift a 50-pound bag of dog food and carry it around for a few minutes ... just to fully appreciate the load that I was carrying everywhere with me only a short time ago. I am so totally grateful for the care he's given me. And I'm thrilled to have a happy ending to the problems I had in June! Just wanted to share my good news ... hope everyone is looking forward to a nice weekend, and feeling well. We are headed to GA to visit family, and deal with my mother-in-law's latest crisis. (Grrr!) See you on Monday! Dawn

Fantastic!! I just heard about the carrying something heavy around, on the radio. What a great idea. Trouble is, just thinking about it makes me tired.

Makes me tired to think about it too!! Is it any wonder we have so little energy before the weight comes off?! Dawn

Dawn That is so great! Its all good from here on. I carry Teagan up the stairs to bed sometimes and I wonder how I ever carried myself up those stairs! She weighs 43 lbs, I've lost 73!! It really is a good way to appreciate the difference. Kathy

Thank you (((((( Kathy ))))))!!! I really don't know how I would have made it through, especially emotionally, without friends like YOU. Thank you again for the support, and especially for your friendship, which is highly treasured by me. Your weight loss is phenomenal, lady!!! You're almost to goal, and it hasn't even been 6 months since your surgery! I am still reading the books you brought to me in the hospital in June ... you WILL see them again, I promise!! (Reading "Midwives" right now ...good one!) Dawn
