Plateau Buster?
Hi, fellow SC'ers!! Hope you're all having a wonderful Sunday! I've been on the plateau buster diet since Wednesday and have VERY excitedly lost 6 pounds since then. My concern is: once I start eating normal again after the 10 days, what keeps you from putting back on what you lost during the 10 days? Has anyone got any experience w/this? Thanks for the info!! Hugs, Connie
Hi, Lisa. This is the plateau buster diet I got from the main OH messageboard:
Drink at least 64 oz. of water
Have 45 g. of protein supplement per day
Minimum of 65-80 g. of protein per day
Only eat the following and do for no more than 10 days: (up to 3 oz.)
beef
pork
chicken
turkey
lamb
fish
eggs
low fat cheese
cottage cheese
yogurt (sweetened w/Splenda only)
peanut butter
beans/legumes
free:
sugar-free popsicles
tea or coffee
sugar-free Jell-O
broth/bouillon
It's very restrictive but it's only for 10 days. If it's not on the list, you can't have it!!
I started Wednesday and have lost 7.3 pounds. I had not lost anything for 6 months!! My only concern is: what happens when I go back to normal eating?!? We'll see!! LOL
Good luck if you decide to try it!!
Hugs, Connie

I guess Im just "slow" today.. but I am a little unclear on this diet. My question is - the list of protien allowed at 3 oz per serving .. it that once a day.. 3 times a day....or ???? up to the 65-80 g of protien a day? Thanks in advance for the explanation.
