Looking For Lap-Band Surgeon

Hi I am looking for a surgeon who is acredited by Medicare for the lap-band surgery.Until the first of they year they would pay for it with any doctor that took Medicare now they have to have SPECIAL credentials does anyone know of someone in South Carolina that does ?

My surgeon's office started doing Lap Band...Riverside Surgical at Lexington Medical Center. I had Dr. Strickland and RnY. Hope this helps you. In Christ, Joan M

I was just banded at MUSC on Aug 25. MUSC is a surgical center of excellence in bariatric surgery. Is this the special credintials they are looking for? I know Medicare covers it so you may want to look into it with Dr. Byrne at MUSC in Charleston. ( I've lost 9lbs in 5 days by the way)
