My Aunt Flo decided to show her ugly face and will be around for my surgery. This should be interesting. Anyone else have this problem going into surgery?? Pam

I had mine lightly throughout my hospital stay. The nurses said I could use whatever feminine products I had, but it was light enough that I didn't worry about it. I spotted some on the pad they laid underneath me, but nobody cared. If it were heavier, I would've used a pad and underwear. My incisions were high enough that wearing undies wouldn't have been an issue. But don't worry...let the nurses know when you get in there, and they will help you out! I'll be praying for you!!!! LOL pam, funny you ask this, mine started the day of surgery, i get back to my room go to pee and suprise!!! it came early due to the heparin shots to thin my blood,, and decided to stay with me for 3 1/2 weeks!!!!! ARGHHH then i started again 2 weeks later for another 3 weeks.. so i had to go the dr. (gyno) friday (since i HAD an IUD that had been in place for 1 year) and he checked the placement, and thank God he did because it was in my cervix, instead of being up in my uterus up high , soo needless to say it had to come out But now i cant take the pill since im re-routed, so im using the nuva-ring. . which is totally weird, and im STILL bleeding!!! this is getting rediculous.. but anyways, aunt flo will probably stick around a few extra days from the heparin shots, but it will be okay!!! FYI I took my own STRETCHY COMFY pajamas, and wore them with underwear as soon as i got the chance! which i think was morning after surgery? I cant remember lol.. good luck pam! im praying for you!!! (oh and i think they let you wear tampons in surgery you might wanna make sure though!!! lol) Jen

I had mine too. They wouldn't let me wear tampons during surgery but they did give me a pad. They said it is very common due to the stress and pre-surgery gitters. --Kelly

So sorry!! Like Melissa, mine came as soon as I got home too. It was yucky even then. FYI, Aunt Flo will probably be causeing her problems for the next few months. Either she won't show up when she's supposed to , or she will show up and REFUSE to leave. Your body will be releasing some major hormones with the weight loss. I am so EXCITED for you!!!! In a month you won't even remember this part. Kathy
