Plastics Financing Info!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey everyone....especially Brittain. I know you are going through Tricare as well as me. I have been talking almost everyday to Tricare to see if its approved or denied, and the people told me that it is their policy to deny all plastics claims the first time, and probably the 2nd and 4th as well. SO, if I really want plastics, then I had to get my butt in gear, and I had been researching on the plastics website, and one lady said that her doctor recommended this as opposed to a bank or finance company. So, I called, it was done, and just waiting on financing tomorrow I know we are all in the same boat, so just wanted to share the info!!! Deborah

Well, I am sort of doing the plateau buster, but not really. Just upping my protein and that is taking it off. I notice if I increase my food/protein, I lose more. I did order the Profect today. I had a vial of it when I was out here before in June, and it was okay if you ice it down and sip it...not the worst tasting, but for protein and just having to get it down your throat for 25gms, not bad tasting. You can see the ad for it to the left of where I am typing now So, the computer did not show this post being listed like 4 times....ooops! Talk to you guys soon! Hey girl...were you already turned down the first time? I as well as another girl I know had no problems getting approved our first time around for our TT. This was May 04....maybe it has gotten tougher since then...not sure. I had a hernia that I could say helped me get approved but she did not have a hernia and was approved as well. She was also approved for a thigh lift @ the same time. I am not on my 2nd round of referrals for other areas...I will not hold my breath for this one to get approved but it is worth a shot. Hey Ms Deb ... Does Tri Care ever approve plastics anymore? I heard it was nearly impossible to get them to approve. Someone told me that they used to approve tummy tucks with hernias but then they changed their policy & now approve the hernia operations but not the tummy tucks. What kind of terms did apfusa offer & how much are the different plastic surgeries going to cost? God bless you ... Dawn & Nick

Dealing with all the insurance companies to me is SO FRUSTRATING. Not just b/c of changing policies, but b/c i hear different stories all the time, esp. about TRICARE. I've heard over and over that a breast reduction WILL be covered (which i need) and I'm gonna try and get a TT approved.. I was originally going to wait until I came stateside to try, but I go on Sep 15 th to see my primary care MD to try and get a referral b/c it is a lot easier to get Tricare Overseas to process it and there are wonderful surgeons here.... I'll keep you posted.

I've heard that surgery/insurance issues in Germany for active military are a snap compared to here in the States. So, goooooooo for it, Ms Heather! GOOD LUCK! I've also heard that breast reductions might be approved due to medical improvememts, but breast lifts won't be approved as they consider them cosmetic. But, if you can get insurance to pay for the breast reduction, maybe you can make a deal to pay a little extra for the lift portion of the surgery having both done at the same time?????
