Incision and leak question...

Hey all. Just wondering how long I am going to have a leak and how long does the pain last. It is not major pain but annoying. Also, is there a post op meeting on Monday due to the holiday? Just making sure. Hope everyone is well and if there is no meeting Monday with my pals I am going to be sad. Pam

Pam, i guess youre referring to your drain?? dont say the word leak you gave me a scare!!! it will drain for another week or so.. then they will take it out usually at 2 1/2 weeks out.. it will be the friday 2 weeks later. So you only have almost 1 1/2 weeks left of it.. it will be sore. but i found that when i put the gauze on the left side of the tube, then layed the tube over it, and wrapped the gauze over to the right to make it compact and not "free" it felt better so it wasnt moving so much. and i used the press n seal because my skin was freakish looking from the tape irritating it.. good luck hope you feel better soon!!! Whoaaaa Pam! You scared me! I'm with Jen, and hoping you are talking about your drain and the stuff that drains out of it ... and not a leak inside, which is dangerous! The drainage will decrease gradually over the next week and a half, and the soreness around the drain will probably increase. It'll all be a dim memory this time next month ... promise! Dawn
